I always get tickled when a customers gives me a gratuity. I do not work for tips and I certainly do not expect a tip. I have repeat customers who do noy tip and I treat them the same as if they had given me a hundsky on the last trip. If I were to take a charter I would certainly leave a generous tip.....unless the guide sucked ;D
Very well done . You have to have one of the best bass lakes in the country! Can't wait to see part ll. I will definately give Rage Tail a try this season.
I'am no peacock specialist, but the last 8 times I fished in Ft. Lauderdale I have not caught any peacocks. Grab a map and find all the little apartment ponds and canals running through the neighborhoods. Those canal have plenty of bass and snakeads. You need to go into miami for some for sure peacock action. Good luck
Not Islamorado, but flamingo bay capt. benny blanco is the best in the business....chances are he won't have an opening but if he does, you'll be extrmely satisfied. His web site is www.fishingflamingo.com
I have never felt as dumb as I did today. I had gotten to my breaking point with my almost new Curado's. I was in the process of packing up my reels to send off to the Shimano Warranty Center in Ca. These reels have made a strange noise since day one. It sounded like the spool was grinding and sloppy. I lubed them once but that didn't help. Just before sealing up the box I did a search on BR and found a post where forum member "Bantam" said the noise may be caused by a loose Cast Controll. Huh? Couldn't be that simple! Tightened up the Cast Controll knob and made a few cast.....no grinding, no slop in the spool. I can't believe it was that simple. Thanks to the power of the forum and "Bantam" I save the expense and time of sending my reels out to Ca.
Embarrassed but happy ;D
Did a little pre fishing yesterday. I caught 5 in a couple of hours. The alarming thing is that I did not catch any bass. The snake head WILL be the dominant fish in South Florida in 10 years....you can bank on it! The FWC (Florida Wildlife Commission) is doing nothing to stop them. I am not bashing the FWC, but they are standing on the sidelines on this subject.
I have the same issue with my new Curado E7's. I believe the sounds are slack between the pinion gear (i think this is the gear shown in the photo)and the spools. Only happens when I throw side arm with the reel facing either side down. When I make an over hand cast i have no such sound. I'am not complaining but it is somewhat annoying.
My area is flooded and flowing hard. The fish are following bait and the bait is scattered....not even worth the effort to launch. Can't wait till the rains end.
Advances in design and engineering in both rods and reels keep me wanting the latest and greatest that I can afford. Every time I think I have bought the latest and greatest.....they come out with a later and greater I think the tackel companies are conspireing against me ;D
