I have been fishing Lake Okeechobee alot more in the last year. Many times I have someone with me who cannot throw a baitcaster. I really need to add a couple of heavy cover spinning reels/rods to the arsenal. I need a setup that I can throw a big EZ or frog in heavy cover with a minimum of 40# braid. Rod needs some backbone. Any suggestions? I prefer Shimano.

Corey Nowakowski caught a 12#'er this weekend. There are alot of big ones out there. The reason that alot of people are coming up goose eggs on them is that everyone seems to be hitting the same holes. The guys who are killing it are hitting the out of the way spots. Palm Beach County is a good place to go on a killing spree.

Florida has over 30,000 lakes. Of those 30,000 lakes there are 7,700 over 10 acres. We also have over 11,000 miles of rivers and waterways. Combine all that fishy water and warm to mild weather and you have alot of happy fishermen.
I will be in the Kissimmee area all next week. I will have my boat and am looking for some fresh ideas. Last year I fished Toho. It was a blast and I caught good fish for four days. This year I will fish Toho as well but I would like some fresh ideas for good fishing. Have any of you got some good ideas as to different bodies of water?
Any lake or pond in the central Florida area will hold bass. I would use a senko, spinnerbait, shallow crankbait and a topwater to cover your bases. When will you be there?
