  1. I was up at Pine River Pond in Wakefield Tues and Wed this week and had some good action, nothing too big though, biggest was 3.6 (not huge, but I wasn't complaining either). Nice lake and area up there.
  2. pm sent
  3. I'm hoping they'll get things straightened out in time for the Winter Classic and play the season from that day forward, but a lot of top players have already bailed on this year to play in Europe.
  4. Great video, thanks for sharing
  5. I'm still in. What can I contribute? Maybe a cooler with waters and sodas?
  6. Wow, those are OUTSTANDING photos. You guys did great! Congrats on a great trip
  7. Well then, I guess we can sleep an extra hour or so on 9/30. Too bad, I was looking forward to some early morning topwater action.
  8. Hey guys, MA guy here. OK, so maybe this is a bit more central NH, but my brother has a place on Pine River Pond in Wakefield. He's selling it due to divorce. I got up there for a few days this week to help him finish up some projects before it goes on the market, and got to wet a line one last time on Sat morning. Fish were all over the place, basically. I don't fish too many places that have smallmouth down here in MA, so I've never caught any real good ones. I did manage a 2.9 smallie on Saturday, got him on a Rapala topwater lure: That was my PB for smallmouth. Caught one other smallie, 2.1 lbs. Those are FUN fish to catch. Also got two LM that were both 3.2 and a bunch of other LM in the 2lb range. Off the water by 10am to head back home.
  9. Nothing wrong with catching three pounders, nice job there. Must have been tough to leave when they were biting, hopefully your water cools soon.
  10. I'd lose a lure anytime to catch one of those, nice job
  11. I would just keep throwing 'em until you feel more comfortable, and you'll start to get more fish. Especially the soft plastics in and around weeds. Like Marty said, just keep trying to learn.
  12. Sounds great, pm me with the info, and I appreciate the invite.
  13. I would absolutely be rounding that up to a 4. Congrats on the new PB!
  14. Nice healthy fish there, nice job
  15. LBH, thanks for the info. I'm in Mendon and my buddy is in N.Attleboro. Looked to be about halfway in between. I'll make him keep coming up here to my spots, unless he comes up with something down in his area.
  16. I'm in for the 30th, but I'll need a seat in someone's boat if there's one available.
  17. The wife has told me that Sundays in Sept "should" be available. So looks like I'm in for any Sunday in Sept. My only disclaimer is I have three kids and don't know if something pops up last minute that needs me in attendance. But as of right now, looks good. Since Sundays are the proposed day, I looked at the Pats schedule in case anyone has season tickets. Their only home Sunday game in Sept is the 16th. Maybe it would work to plan one in early Sept and another late Sept/early Oct, just in case someone can't make one of them? Just a suggestion.
  18. It could be, I have absolutely no idea. It's about halfway between where I live and another buddy of mine who's getting back into fishing, so he asked me about it. I think he found it on Google maps. I was just throwing it out there to see if anyone knew anything about the place. You're the only one who responded, thanks. I will probably stick with places I already know. I didn't really feel like dealing with getting an out of state RI license just to fish that one place anyway. Thanks again for the info.
  19. Run a spinnerbait right over the top of the weeds
  20. I guess I know where I'm going tomorrow!
  21. Beetle Spins and small Roostertails are a great start. They're probably all you would need. Joe's Flies inline spinners would be my next suggestion. On a side note, I love Fenwick rods. Let everyone know how the River Runner works out for you. Good luck
  22. Has anyone fished here? A friend of mine wants to try it, but I have zero info on this place. We would be fishing from a canoe with a trolling motor. Any info would be helpful.
  23. I figured there must've been a good reason. Nice slammer fish, I need to get one of those.
  24. Very nice fish in a limited time frame. I'd have kept fishing. Good job anyways
  25. Looks like it swallowed a softball, nice fish!
