  1. Ha,same way here in Mississippi.....although it'll be 13 more years till I reach that much of the ole fart stage, meanwhile I'll use my lifetime license while on public water. "e license and boat registration" are available ,along with in store purchase here.
  2. I kinda doubt that would happen.........notice the big mouth, yet skinny body of his fish. The fish had some age to it ( big mouth, and eyes) however the girth just doesnt match it's length, due to the effects of the tumor..........my "W.A.G."
  3. For small ponds,a must have bait IMO is a Rebel humpback...........not the new one, which is 2 inches .....the old model that measures 1.75 inches........yeah,it's on the small side but big fish will and do hit it...good luck.
  4. As of this post ,I'm the lone stranger in the "dont bother" catagory. I dont tourny fish so there's no need in it IMO,however.....I do put a tape measure to some ..........most under 14" go home with me,depends if I feel like cleanin them or not( gasp,"I can't believe HE said that") ...chill out,I'm manageing MY private ponds/lakes. The 14"-19"ers,no big deal, unhook and chunk em back,20" and above fish......well they are "kodak moments" IMO ,snap a picture and release to fight another day.
  5. I still use them ,too.......mid 70s model fry series........bought all my "budget" would allow off of ebay last fall. Matter fact I caught my best and last LB of 09 with an ebay "lead bill crappie" a 24" a few days before Thanksgiving. I like the new small frys and have a few in bream pattern.....would buy some new crappie (as well as other)patterns if I could find them, because I like the smaller size of the new ones.
  6. Another vote for Boots.............Red Wing steel toe ........never leave home without them.
  7. Bagley's "small fry"/"tru life" series...what ever ya want to call them. Bream/Crappie/Bass/ Crawdad/and Shad Rebel's "Bait series".....Bream /Crappie/Bass/Shad I don't "collect".......I use em
  8. I ask this because I'm wondering if any of the carvers out there have tried carving a bait from Royal Polonia or "BlueBell" and if so,your thoughts,on using this wood to use for baits. I use it to make boat paddles.....it's extremely light and tuff.........just wondering if it'd make for good bait stock, too. If someone would like to try it out ....I have some,I'll ship/mail to ya........free....almost :....would like to have a bait from it.
