Dicks usually has a Abu Garcia Silver Max with a Berkley lighting rod combo for around 60 bucks... I bought one last year and it still works great.

I hope to be getting a, BPS Pro Qualifier reel, a Muskie/Catfish baitcasting reel and rod, and a Berkley Lip Grip with scale.

What? When they came out yeah they were slightly overpriced. The GTO was overpriced in my opinion by quite a bit. PRESENT time you can get an 04 cobra making serious power under 30k. Go to craigslist/autotrader anywhere you can get a used terminator (a 2003 or 2004 cobra) for around 18k maybe a little less if you look hard enough. Not to mention yeah most every time the GTO will outrun a mach 1. Not smoke by any means. You don't know anything about fords is what it is. Ford put forced induction to make it make 305 hp? Hahaha ford threw in the 32v v8 instead of that weak 16v which pushed it up that much. I'm not sure if i'd said that sweet looking hood is doing anything at all for that mach 1 though. Weight makes a difference but when they are making close to the same 1/4 times and were arguing those 2 cars you can't really say much about the weight difference. You don't think Pontiac could've made that tank any lighter? "Magazine racing" the GTO is not impressive. 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile racing at the local drag strip, the GTO is not impressive. Thats that. Anything else PM me and we'll argue there because I'm not trying to get banned over pointless bantering when obviously were going in circles and claiming the same thing. The GTO will beat a mach 1.

I agree my GTO would smoke any stock Mach 1, GT and most modded GT's. The only thing Ford made worth anything in 03-04 was the Terminators... What year is your GTO? Those newer ones not 2010 new but like 04s or w/e they had were a disgrace to GTO's that were made back in the day. I have a hard time believing you SMOKE mach 1s. I just looked up the manual 2010 GTO will run 13.8s in the quarter mile and the 2004 Mach 1s will run 13.2s. Not saying these are true of what you can do or someone better could do in the GTO but I'm saying the mach 1 driver would have to suck at driving for you to "smoke" him. come on, anyone that knows anythign about cars knows you can't compare magazine 1/4 mile times and call it a day. 13.8 in a 6.0 GTO is a pretty crappy time. I know a guy with just headers running low 12's in a manual 6.0. Majority of good drivers are somewhere in the low 13 range, and some people have hit 12's bone stock. Also, to your other post, you have to look at WEIGHT as well as hp. Power to weight ratio is more important than hp, as well as looking at the full power band. If a car makes 30 more peak whp, but the rest of the power band the other car has the advantage, that 30 peak means nothing. This is why a car like a lotus with 185-210 hp blows away cars with double the power. Anyone that knows ANYTHING about cars knows that the gto is not at all what it should be. It's pretty sad that it runs lows 13s maybe 12s stock. When a mach 1 runs low 13s stock. It all depends on the driver which anyone that knows ANYTHING about cars know. You "SMOKING" Mach 1 might be true if your racing 16 year olds with daddys car. You know that, and I know that. The terminator is an 04 that can hit twelves in WELL under 30k. The newer GTOs are NOT a big deal. Anyone that knows ANYTHING about cars obviously know weight makes a difference. Which is why civics and ricers think they're the shht. Point is, your "gto" is not a bad . machine. Sorry! Please show me where someone bought a brand new Terminator for under 30 grand... I have had two 06's, and they were by FAR a disgrace. Just because Pontiac didnt go with the "retro" look doesnt mean it was a disgrace. They put plenty of power into the cars to make them a worthy contender on the street. They only made two models, one with a six speed manual tranny and a 4 speed auto. How many models of Mustangs are made that year? Well lets see, SLOW 6 banger that is on every corner, slow GT that is on every corner, just as slow builit, little faster Mach 1 and the very impressive Terminator. You tell me one car out of the box that you can get for under 30 grand or right at 30 that can run high 12's in 04-06? Not the Terminators, Shelby definitely bent people over on price on that one, not the Mach 1... I am not to sure where you got the 13.8 1/4 mile time? They stopped making GTO's in 06 and unfortunately Pontiac is no more. Maybe you are mistake with the G8?? Which the G8 would still beat any stock GT... Or maybe you were thinking of the G8 GXP which runs 12.9 flat in the 1/4 which would put the Mach 1 in its place, or the Regular G8 GT which runs a 13.2 in the 1/4 mile which runs right with the Mach 1? Sorry for the rant, I just hate it when people talk about cars that dont know what they are really talking about...

My first GTO had stock rear end, and there wasnt a mustang that would come CLOSE to beating me (okay one foxbody came very close but still lost). Everytime i took them by 3-5 cars, they may hang off the line till I hit second gear, then I just see them fade away in the rear view mirror. Plus having a higher geared rear end will make it twice as hard to launch because it puts more load on the launch. I dont think it would matter to a 03-04 GT because they are underpowered.

We headed out the Lake Shelbyville spillway for a day of Muskie fishing. It ended up being a beautiful day out, the water was a little high but not to bad. Everybody ended up catching a Muskie, which made for an amazing day of fishing. Thanks farmpond1 for coming with and enjoying the day with us. Heres a picture of the Muskie I caught.

Thank you, I just knew I had to keep him calm so I was just asking him a bunch of simple questions. I was afraid he would find out that my wife was on the phone with the cops and try to run, so I just tried to keep him talking... Everything worked out, I am just missing an old hoody, and pair of underwear (dont ask lol)... I wasn't able to sleep last night, I think I still had a ton of adrenaline running through my body.

Yeah we were still able to head out, we each caught a muskie, so it was a good day of fishing.

I got to bed early on Friday night because I am going fishing with farmpond1 and another buddy from work early in the morning. Well around 4:45am I hear the alarm to my truck going off, so my wifes looks out the window and starts yelling at this person to leave my truck alone. Well while she is doing that I get dressed and get my M&P .40 loaded up. As I am running down stairs I hear this person in our laundry room. I push the door open with my foot and point my gun at him yelling at him to get on the ground, which he does. Right off the bat I could tell he was mentally ill and was confused. He is wearing my hoodie, underwear, and pants. He was loading our clothes from the laundry room in my truck because he thought they were his. Then I asked him how he got in the house, and we left the back door to our garage unlocked, and our door in the garage to our laundry room was unlocked. Well I ask him why he thought that, and why he came in our house, and he proceeds to tell me that his mom use to live here and he thought she laid those out for him. I told him he walked in to the wrong house and he could have been shot. So after talking a for about 3-5 minutes the cops showed up and took him away. Comes to find out this guy has been all through the house, drank 2 beers, ate our food, feed our dogs (some watch dogs), undressed in the living room to put on my clothes(his clothes were in a pile in the middle of the floor), went through my wifes purse (he had her keys), and watched T.V.! Thank God my wife didnt have my key fob for my truck or else he would have been gone with our mail, clothes, and the fact that we know they guy that went through our house was still out there. I am just glad nobody got hurt, and he is in jail now. Keep those doors locked and be safe!
