  1. We tried Sangchris on Sunday with hardly any luck. 3 bass and a crappie... The power plant wasnt pumping that day, so maybe that had something to do with it.
  2. No problem man. 8-)
  3. On Sunday me and a couple other people went to a powerpland lake and fished from 9-5:30. The water temperature was 60-62 (they weren't pumping water), depth ranged from 2-5 feet, it was a little windy, and the water was stained. We fished the coves and points, throwing jigs, lipless cranks, senkos, and spinning baits. The whole day only ended up with 3 bass on white spinning baits near the end of the day. There was a tournament going on that day so I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not, but it didn't look like anyone was catching any fish. Should we have gone to the deeper water?
  4. Chalk another one down for the PQ, awesome reel!
  5. I dont think Clinton is a very good bass lake, but I do very well on catfish. My buddy had luck there once and he was jigging the points and rocky areas if that helps you at all...

  10. I got an STX and love it, its very smooth!
  11. Welcome from the Champaign area!
  12. I was at a small town bar and I heard two guys discussing how they wipe... And this guy seemed dead serious when he said he wipes back to front and argued that THAT was the correct way... I wonder how many g/f's hes ever had lol.
  13. After a good rain on the pond behind my house I slay the bass on a buzzbait...
  14. I just bought some of these and will have to try these out today on a shaky head. Will these work t-rigged with a 3/0 or 4/0 hook?
  15. Where at in IL are you? I am in the Champaign area.
  16. I am using 15lb, and it is working out very well for me.
  17. I just respooled my worm rod with this stuff............... And LOVE it! I just might have to respool all my rigs with this. I never would have thought casting would have been so smooth. A+ to Yo-Zuri, Roadwarrior and others for getting me turned on to this line!
  18. I was able to go fishing at the pond behind my house and caught a bass the first cast, and another one maybe 5 casts after that! Only ended up being out for about 30 minutes but was able to catch 5 bass... I feel sooooo much better now! lol
  19. I was kinda disappointed when I saw it, my wife on the other hand had her eyes covered the whole time... The only part that gave me goose bumps was at the end.
  20. My dad would do the same thing when we were fishing for catfish... If we werent getting any bites he would reel in the line and spit his Cope on it lol.
  21. Looks like me, farmpond, and another guy I work with are going to try our luck at Sangchris on Sunday. I hope the rain can hold off till then.
  22. Thanks everyone, I just found out that the baby's heart is suppose to start beating today... This is sooo cool.
  23. I dont think there is anything wrong with it, I have one as my crankin rod and it does just fine... Be sure to get the Ugly Stik lite though with the cork handle.
  24. That sucks... I hope to get to Powerton soon to reel in some of those big blues...
  25. I use Power Pro myself... I started out using 30# on my baitcasters, and all that did was dig into the spool, and lost some lures that way... I went up to 50-65# and I havent has that problem since... If I were you I would go 50-65# for any baitcaster setup, and 20# for spinning.
