  1. What are you using to catch these bass?? Try a big t-rigged brush hog and see if that will get some fatties to bite.
  2. Agreed... Move on man, the best thing you can do is laugh this off, and tell her to leave you alone. You dont need that kind of drama...
  3. weedless t-rigged brush hog with a nice size bullet weight to get to the bottom has been working for me in the same situation...
  4. The pond next to my house looks about the same with all the grass, its colder here in IL so I use a t-rigged creature bait and that slays the bass. I cant throw a jerkbait without getting caught up in the grass so weedless t-rigged plastics buzzbaits and frogs are about all I can use... Good luck man!
  5. I have tried to use 30# powerpro and that dug into the spool pretty bad for me, and I lost a couple lures in the process... Then I started using 50-65# powerpro and it works great, no digging whatsoever.
  6. This weekend my cousin was in town so we got in my little 10' pelican boat and fished the pond next to my house and ended up with about 20 bass. Then Sunday we walked down the street to the other pond in the subdivision and I was able to pull about six 2 lbers and one 5 lber! We could see them swimming around the shoreline and in the middle of the pond, I just casted my paca craw out there and gave it a few twitches and they couldnt resist lol
  7. You'll be fine, one of the combos I use is loaded with braid and I have never had a problem with it.
  8. Revo's (SX or STX), or Pro Qualifiers are very nice reels.
  9. I have been stuck in Rockford for the last two weeks for work, so no fishing for me... I hope this is the last week I will be up here.
  10. Green pumpkin all the way!
  11. There wouldnt be much of a varmint after I shoot it with this lol. And after words I can use it to roast some hotdogs lol
  12. I have also had good luck with them, they are a lot stronger than the senko and you wont have to replace it after catching 4 bass...
  13. Pulled about 30-35 bass out of the pond behind my house this weekend. They were tearing up creature baits, looks like I'll have to go load up again.
  14. I put 65# on mine and I can put quite a bit on it, but as far as how much I am not sure...
  15. I'm only an hour and a half away, hell I'll even wear the blind fold lol.
  16. Yes, but can he get the 09 STX anywhere for sub $100 right now? Sounds like he got the same deal i did during Christmas time at Gander Mountain... 99 bucks got you a 09 STX...
  17. Very nice! Is that Sangchris?
  18. I love my STX, and will probably get another one soon.
  19. Go with the Pro Qualifier, I have one and love it.
  20. I'm in.
  21. I always make a taco dip... Get a nice size pan with about a 1to 1 1/2 inch lip -Put re fried beans on the bottom of the pan -Mix sour cream, cream cheese, and hot taco seasoning together in a bowl. -Spread the mix on top of the re fried beans -take your favorite salsa and spread on top of the sour cream, cream cheese, and taco spread -take shredded cheese (taco mix) and cover the salsa -Put it in the oven till all the cheese melts on top -Take out of oven and load up with your favorite toppings (jalapenos, tomatoes, chives ect..) -let cool for maybe 10 minutes and devour it!
  22. That is the exact way I make my chili! Ohhh is it good!
  23. I have a STX and love it, it cast light weights very well.
  24. I started out with a Abu Garcia Silver Max and I still cant cast light lures with it very well... I then jumped up to a Pro Qualifier and Revo STX and have no problems whatsoever casting light weight lures/plastics. Just make sure you have your setting right on your reel, and dont be afraid to set the mag break a little higher than you need to...
