  1. Just pick up an 18'-19' glass rig 15 or so years old with a 150 or 175 and keep your tin boat. Have the best of both worlds!!!
  2. I have a '99 pt185. I have room for three batteries on the port side of my fuel tank. I'm not sure what group they are, but I can tell you they are the largest deep cycles in the walmart brand. Also, the TM mounts on the boat should be plug and play with minnkota and motorguide. This summer I put a minnkota edge 45 on and it fit with no mods. I have since gone to a used 56 lb 12/24 volt motorguide, but will be selling both to pick up a 24 volt 70 lb. Motorguide. In a stiff wind the TM is on 4 just to stay stationary, 5 to move at a snail's pace. Bass trackers and wind don't get along good.
  3. I just picked up a mark 5x DSI unit. I have the mark 5 pro on my console already. I use a garmin hand held gps for all my mapping. My question is, should I install the DSI unit on the bow or the console?
  4. I don't know if this will help you, but... I recently had the same problem. I found the source of the issue was a screw securing the panel to the right of the driver's seat had punched through the wire loom running to the motor. It was creating an occasional short in the ignition system. I fixed it by installing shorter screws.
  5. Seriously though, you got some good advise here, just look at the mono equivelent on the braid and match that up. If you have ever seen some of Shimano's rods, they also print the recommended line in braid on the blanks.
  6. Really?? You seem to have mastered the English language in your short visit to earth. Yet rod/line ratings are beyond your comprehension? Who would have guessed.
  7. How do you like the 805 I really like it. It is tailor made for 1-1.5 oz weights in the thickest cover a bass would ever live. I also hav experience with the lamiglass 7116 and Abu Garcia vendetta 7'6" mag heavy. The 805 really takes the cake.
  8. I'm using a Castaic (6.1) and I think it is a good comprimise. It's not too slow and you dont sacrifice that much torque (for pulling the hogs out of the thick stuff).
  9. Dobyns 735C in either the Savvy or Champion series.
