  1. yeh, it was initially a challenge to block out some baits and then turned into an obsession. Since most anglers on this website are great fisherman, it makes no difference whether they see the baits or not. They can probably figure it out
  2. This is a video from fishing in Minnesota. Now, keep in mind this is not from California so if your looking for 15 pound bass, they don't grow that big here. This is just a video of how amazing the fishing is in the state of MN. I live in VA and just moved from Utah and i can attest (still biased-don't care) that nothing compares. and i take my hat off to the big guys in charge of bassresource. There is not a better bass fishing forum
  3. start with the thumb. By the end of the fishing week, switch hands. After that, use all four fingers and keep thumb out. By the very end of the week, tape your hand up, start all over again
  4. Where would you advise fishing with a raft in the potomac for bigger bass and somewhere somewhat protected from the tides?
  5. wherever has the biggest bass! And is not unsafe for a raft. With a bass boat, this is not even an issue and i could find something, however, with a raft, its just dangerous and a whole new ball game
  6. I use to fish the bridges growing up in my old mans boat. I have been gone for 10 years since highschool and now am back. I have a small raft and i am wondering where i could drop a little raft in without worrying too much about the tide. I don't care about smallmouth as much. Just big bass. This will require some expertise on yalls part, so please feel free to teach me what is manageable. Oh, i went fishing at Beaverdam Creek Reservoir the other day and i worked so hard just to catch two bass. Its a shame. I feel like the reservoir has changed since i left ten years ago.
  7. Has a ten pounder been pulled out of beaverdam creek reservoir or Burke lake? Occoquan?
  8. I'd say anything north of Charlottesville. One interesting thing to note, i was amazed to see that someone pulled a 10 pounder out of the potomac within the last year. Its good to see this river produce something of that size
  9. I've been gone from Virginia a long time and would love to hear some expertise concerning which lakes in northern Virginia have the biggest bass. Please rank your top three, include pictures if you can.
  10. hah, no i am looking for an avid bass fisherman with a boat. I would love to get to know the lakes and i'll be here for a long time, so if anyone needs a buddy to go with i would love to come along. If anyone has expertise to offer i'd love to learn as well. You can always learn, no matter how good of a fisherman you are.
  11. Hey, just came from utah to fairfax county and am looking for several people who want a fishin buddy and have a boat! My wife and i are here for graduate school and now that i am away from fam, i have no bass boat. This is killin me. My wife and i are taking our raft out tomorrow but i need to set foot in a boat. Let me know what lakes are the best for big bass. Don't care about numbers. Posted a few of my minnesota fishing vids on youtube under the username "theshimmysheide". Silly hobby of mine but if you wanna comment on them be my guest. If anyone needs a buddy to fish with, i would love to come along. Don't know many avid bass fisherman since i returned. Been gone from VA for 10 years. Ripnlips fellas
