  1. Does anyone have or know where you can see good photos of all the guides on the rod. I see *** shows the first guide but I would like to see the rest of them. Just wondering if they are like the white ice and micromagic guides as far as shape.
  2. I have used Micro mags in the past and really like them a lot. I have two Kistler carbon steels and I really like these rods a lot too! My Team daiwa zillion rods have taken a back seat to the over less than half the price Kistlers as of late. For the price I am very happy. It was either these or the duckett white ice.
  3. Well Roger it's good to see you back on here. It was just awhile ago I was wondering where you've been.
  4. Do you ever sleep haha!!
  5. I agree with some here. A pond/lake, whatever......Some can go to Okeechobee and catch a ten pounder on their first trip. A pond with a lot of pressure it would take some serious timing, presentation and luck to get a ten pounder out of there thats being pounded by baits day in and day out. Even though they aren't ponds, even the bigger lakes in California get so much pressure DD's are probably a lot harder to come by back when they didn't have the pressure.
  6. Lou, I think that is the place I was looking at on Google earth earlier?? I see that the canal on the west side of meets up the other to the north a little bit. I am probably going to drag the boat over for this trip.
  7. I chased snakeheads last week along griffin road and nada! Caught a bunch of peacocks though. How about along sawgrass expressway?? Some guys like danny martin and captain shane are killing those things on youtube! I just want to catch one lol!
  8. Are there snakeheads in the canal along 27?
  9. I apologize if this has already been said but I think what you're doing is great! I would take into consideration his maturity level and how well you'd expect him to take care of the equipment you buy him. I would only let how much the outfit cost be determined by how much you consider would be too much for yourself to spend. If he is very mature and trusting enough that he will value his gift and take care of it set him off on the right foot and get him something a bit nicer. If he decides later he doesn't like fishing then it is what it is.

  11. Don't leave your lures hanging over the boat either! Down in the glades two years ago I was on the trolling motor in about 4 feet of water. As I looked down I saw a gator laying on the bottom. That's when it started up to the surface and came after the crankbait hanging over the side. I kicked my pole with my foot and luckily it missed. That could've been an expensive day on the water for me.
  12. I love that vid. Nice timing on the music.
  13. Does anyone know if it is ok to park there while fishing the canals? Thanks.
  14. For me Pline CXX is not the most sensitive, but it is TOUGH! Most hate it but it is exactly what I need for when I'm out. It is thicker than most other brands in the same line test, and after a few days of not fishing when I cast it out it looks like a 60 foot slinky! Other than that, I have never had it fail on me. After a few minutes the coils work themselves out. I believe a lot of bad experiences with this line come from people using it on spinning reels, I know I probably wouldn't like it if I were doing the same. Like WarEagle, if Im not using braid, I am using Pline CXX.
  15. Currently I am going against the grain of traditional shaky head setup. I am using a 7 ft heavy, 25# Pline CXX and Sieberts Extreme Shakey heads. No grass is too thick to get them out of now.
  16. Nice....what did they get them on..
  17. Some days I wouldve died to have a power pole on my boat on lake o.
  18. Jeff, Nice fish man! Isn't it amazing the size and quantity of bass these little canals hold!! I guess 8.8 pounds on the big one!
  19. MIke, The extreme shakey head yesterday was on point! I caught dozens of fish on them or should I say two of them (I lost one) and they lasted fish after fish. The hook is very easy to set considering it is a heavier gauge hook and the point never rolled or dulled. The paint on the heads didnt even chip and it was put through the rocks on many casts. I've already got over 150 of your extreme's and already thinking about getting another order. Excellent job on these ones!
  20. Somebody here has to have used them.....I hope!!
  21. I can't find anything on the net about these. Can anyone here give their experiences with this worm. Thanks. It looks like it has a big profile.
  22. Orders at BTD are always slower after a sale, you'll get your stuff. The problem is finding what you want in stock over there.
  23. Nice bro....I grabbed a couple of the ayu baby's.
  24. Kurita has already stated hes seen bigger bass in Biwa than his world record catch.
  25. Ahhh thats why I didnt see the 1/8 on my first order!!
