  1. Deep good to see you back brother!
  2. This is an excellent thread with exceptional posts. Nothing beats real observations happening in front of your eyes time and time again. The vertical suspending at night is something I never knew they did. Some statements made were valuable learning points. Keep it up guys!!
  3. Nez rats can be found on bassaholics site from time to time.
  4. Maiinly hudds...68s and eight inch. There not really conducive for a lot of areas im in though where the waters shallow and weedy. The gan craft 178 is another one ill put more time into this year. Randalls gliding gizzard looks nice but I havnt pulled the trigger on it yet. Also ill probably grab the injected slide swimmer when they come out. I thought I saw somewhere theyd be $149.99. Much better than the $300 for a resell!!! Ive also really liked the real prey gill and g2 shiner. Keep it up man it helps me to stay committed when im looking for a big bite when im in the right areas!
  5. Didnt throw swimbaits all that much. Stuck to almost finesse type techniques. My numbers were pretty good but big fish eluded me. Biggest one was about six pounds and that sucks for florida. So far this year ive already passed that mark and will probably target bigger bass more often.
  6. Dude....theres some good ones there!
  7. <---------Look, there's a buzzjet there! This night there was actually a stiff breeze and on the slow retrieve the lure just stopped and I knew a good one sucked it down. Love wind with those and at night with a slight breeze. All my good fish 6# or larger came by barely crawling it along the surface. One of my favorite baits.
  8. Respect!

Ill get one....always looking to try something new. The bone color was the one that piqued my interest the most too.
  10. Sick bro.....admittedly I have a 178 and have o ly thrown it a few casts. This year ill probably put it to work.

When I first saw that lure I dismissed it as junk. I may have to look into it a bit more. Those blades or wings I am leary about as far as durability. Maybe someone who has used it can give their experience.
  12. Deps buzzjet. Black worms. Squarebill crankbait. That is all you need. One for each column of water. If the moving baits fail the worm dragged along the bottom will get bit. Start on top. If theres a breeze even better for topwater. If they are on the worm bite you may need a few dozen to last several hours.
  13. Dont chuck 8 inch hudds on a spinning reel. I learned that the hard way years ago haha!!!! Costly lesson to say the least.
  14. 37lbs out of Holiday is much more impressive than 38 out of Fork imo. Both huge bags though.
  15. New PB possibly??
  16. Cool thanks brother. Ill probably grab one and give it a shot.
  17. Wayne...ive been eyeballing the savage gear. is its durability worth it. ove read that after a couple fish the hook no longer stays in place??
  18. I love the first cold night of the year in s.florida. on these nights frogs seek warmth in the water and it seems the bass are gorging on them all night along the weedlines. Some of my best nights have been like that.
  19. You atrophying bro! That fish actually looks Big! Be honest man, did thoughts of DD come into your mind when she came to the surface???
  20. Duuuude! That one may be pushing dd territory!
  21. Ive not seen a skunk ape...but ive heard some scary noises out there that made me question am I safe right now??
  22. Anyway....this is cliche but let the fish tell ya. Buzz on top over pockets and by cover. No takers then try swimming it with a stop and go. You can also kill in the pockets or next to cover if tbey wont commit on top.
  23. My thoughts exactly. Excellent for pits and open water near ambush points slow rolling them. For buzzing the top of grass any of the smaller swimbaits are a much better option since really its a reaction strike your getting. I saw a big DD bass follow my eight inch hudd in a pit down here.
  24. Grantm....I use to fish hudds a lot a d recently started again witb six and eight inch. Also real prey g2 pond shiners. Both excellent baits. The problem is they are not conducive for many areas here in south florida. The eight inch has revealed giants for me in areas I never thought were there.
  25. All that fish work out is what's keeping you young!
