Clayton if youre up for trading some of those king shads for some swimmers let me know. I was looking online for some at a decent price and theyre finally almost gone. Great bait but all mine finally broke at the hinge!!
I agree with jeff. On okeechobee the rim canal has miles of this riprap walls and the bigger fish tend to be just below the last rocks where it drops off into deeper water.
If your using a heavier rod 20-30# braid will pop on good hooksets. If you can go with heavier mono or flouro. I learned the hard or should i say expensive way.
Being in florida what lakes are you preferring large swimbaits to use on. Ill tell you if its okeechobee there not gonna work as well as youd like to think for big ones.
Watched both episodes of stoked on fishing and loved em. Mcintee makes some good vids with nice content. A lot of C2C action. I hope one day Bailey pulls in a 20+
Have no idea if the algae bloom is starting to affect the whole lake but the water was dirty, nasty and stinky this weekend out of Uncle Joes cut. Fish were still being caught but wow was the water nasty!
I recommend it for sure. Those areas you fished showed a good healthy population of bass. Thw big baits will reveal bass you never knew were in there and hopefully youll get one.
