  1. Or how deep are your pockets?
  2. Order placed! Thanks again Mike!
  3. Mike, Are these XX strength hooks? If so an order is coming your way. Awesome looking shakey head!!!!
  4. Dude great looking fish!!!
  5. Wayne you lucky dog bro! I knew you had a hook up somewhere!!
  6. I've thought about calling Olesky's but I just "assumed" he would tell me how great everything is just to get more people down there for business. I really hope that lake is ready, I really want to try it out soon!
  7. Anyone been or heard anything lately? Thinking about trying it soon.
  8. You seem to be doing good, my fishing partner has been going with me to Lake O, everglades, crooked lake, etc and he has yet to break the 5 pound barrier. Going on almost four years for him now, he could have broke it if he wasn't trying to reel them in like a freaking mad man when he hooked them haha!
  9. Gator, same here, I was going to post up 5 but stopped at three. Had a couple 17's and another 18 to put up but I know 100 inches is the minimum to win here.
  10. The Sieberts regular ball head jig with the screw keeper hook should be fine for your setup. The hooks are excellent imo. I'd even venture to say the zenith's would be fine as well.
  11. I agree with this, when the bite is tough it forces you to change up and go away from your traditional approach. I NEVER used to like finesse fishing but this year I went from tossing big hudds, ripping cranks, to throwing shakey heads and drop shots when I couldn't get bit. I used to dread post frontal thinking I would have to punch all day if out on the lake but with learning new techniques it can be just another good day out fishing!
  12. All my cranks are st41 1/0. I have tried lately gammy short shank ewg magic eyes in the same size and I have lost more fish than with the owners. This is just my experience though.
  13. Revo sx, daiwa lexa 100 or tatula. Good reels for the price. Rods Kistler carbon steel micro guide. For both it should be well under $300 and should last a long long time.
  14. That's what I was thinking, I was out there for 6 hours hoping to find that "magic window" as I have in the past during incoming fronts. I started working windblown areas, moved to a couple coves near some wind blown currents. I downsized a bit after moving baits weren't getting it done to a trick worm and a creature bait. NADA!!! haha, How's Okeechobee, thinking about going back there in a week or so??
  15. I was out today and was hoping to post something but I cannot figure out this bite right now.......the winds are ripping making bottom bouncing tough, and they won't touch a moving bait for me at the moment. I managed one today around 16 inches but didn't bother ASSuming I would find them as the day went on. After the front pushes through and the weather stabilizes maybe it will turn them on over here???
  16. Check butch brown 65 pound limit in YouTube. Guy in the pic looks like oliver ngy?? I think his pub is close to 17 pounds though.
  17. Fished a small canal later in the day today and caught several, most were small. Wind was blowing good and overcast. Both caught on Seibert shakey head jig with netbait t mac 6.5 inch in sun perch color. Typical canal fishing, cast to bank and slide it down the contour. Pick ups were very light. a 16 and 17 inch.
  18. I hope so Lou! I hope everyone in this one breaks the century mark.
  19. Dang good start guys and gal!! I haven't even made it out yet haha! People it looks like the A game is on this month!
  20. Fstr I agree, punching is fun especially when they're covered in salad. Its lime Christmas ripping all the grass off to see what you got!
  21. MCS way to start it off man!
  22. Good luck Jeff, hope you stick a teener this time!!
  23. In the colder months down here, I've found the afternoon bite is better when the water temp has warmed a little all day. A couple years ago I was out and the bite was horrible all morning, air temps started in the upper 30's. By mid afternoon the fish were getting active on moving baits.
