  2. Not sure if i am in the right topic or not but i just wanted to tell everyone that I finally got myself a new tow vehicle! I ahve been alternating between my wifes 2010 4 door Wrangler and my dads 07 GMC Sierra for the past couple years but finally my car gave up and I upgraded to a bigger vehicle. I only had a couple specifications... Needed a V6 and I needed a hitch. After carefully shopping around I got the best deal on a 2003 GMC Envoy SLT. It is leather everything, power everything.. only 92K miles on it. I will post up some pictures when I get back home from church. Has anyone had an Envoy and what do you guys think of it? If this is in the wrong topic please move it for me.! Thanks!

  5. Hi all, I have a small club tournament this weekend in Pittsburgh and we are launching at the 18th street launch. I have never fished the 3 rivers before so it should be fun regardless. I am just wondering if anyone has fished here before and has any tips or spots they would be willing to share? Thanks! Jim
  6. 7mm08 for sure. great accuracy and it doesnt mess up any meat!
  7. I would say yes, it is taking on too much water.. I couldn't tell you the last time I have ever had to run my bilge..
  8. i am gonna charge up the battery today so hopefully it does the trick. I am actually using the deep cell battery instead of a cranking battery so that is probably the problem. These batteries are pretty old so I am sure they arent as strong as they used to be. Ill let you guys know if i fixed the problem! Happy labor day
  9. Hey all, I had the boat out all day today and as i was getting ready to load the boat onto the trailer, i was attempting to raise the motor. It didnt have the winding noise it usually does whenever i raise or lower the trim. It was almost like a clicking noise but it was raising the motor very slowly. Once i got it up on the trailer and on flat ground, i attempted to lower it then raise it again and it worked fine. So once i got home and got it in the garage, i again tried to raise and lower it with the same weak clicking noise. After playing with it for about 30 seconds it seemed like it caught on again and was able to quickly go up and down. Does anyone know what could be the problem? I just installed a new reservoir a few weeks ago but I have had the boat out twice now with no problems whatsoever. The battery could be a little weak as I have not charged it in a couple outings but all of the other electronics and the motor cranked right over when I started it so i didnt think that could be the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks. Jimmy

  15. hey all i have found a problem on my boat... i had it out a couple days ago and just walked into my garage and saw something was leaking.. so i cleaned off some excess fluid and saw that the resevoir that holds the hydraulic fluid (maybe?!) has a crack on it... how expensive is this going to be to fix and am would i be able to drain the fluid and jb weld it or something? i really dont know how this could've happened.. i can post pics if needed..
  16. SolarBat Nocs... great glasses at a great price!!
  17. Good luck man.. i posted a question about a month ago and got about as many replies as you. Fish the shoots leading out into the lake on the left. you will catch fish there, and the weeds infront of the perry monument produced for me as well.. Throw a green tube or deadstick a senko and you'll be golden. Poppers in the morning and grubs also worked.
  18. I keep mine in Plastic shoeboxes that you can find at walmart for 98 cents.. i have a plastic shoebox for each type of bait and it makes it really easy to find exactly what you are looking for..

  20. tourney went well. i finished 3rd in my club.. had 3 fish for 7.47lbs.. biggest was a 3.5 smallie i got with 20 minutes left.. caught it on the flat by perrys monument and the others were on the left side of the shoots heading out into the lake..
  21. Hey all, Of course I decided to take my fiancee out for a little fishing one evening up at Edinboro Lake while she was up there for the week doing grad school work and I forgot my scale. I usually always carry it with me. But anywho... We were fishing for a little bit and I was catching a few.. Mary Beth decided she wanted to try over by these lily pads and she threw out and yelled that she thought she had a fish on.. I was standing not too far away and I figured it was probably just a snag.. well the next thing you know, the thing jumps and i see how big it is.. she fought it nicely and brought it into the shore and I lipped it for her.. This thing was huge for the lake we were at.. initially i guessed it to be around 4 pounds but the more i look at it and think about it, i think it was bigger than that! what do you all think? I was so proud of her for landing her biggest fish ever!
  22. Thanks for the input, Gary! I really appreciate it.. anyone else?
  23. Hey all! I have a small club tourney at lake erie this weekend. I have never fished Erie before so I am excited to get the chance. I will be taking my 15' Procraft bass boat with a 40hp motor on it.. I am not planning on venturing out into the lake so I plan on only fishing the bay and the area out of the shoots. Does anyone have any pointers for this time or year at Erie? any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
