  1. I use the Bag-em Bass tags.. i really like them alot.. and they are safe on the fish. you just clip them on their upper lip and are strong enough to stay on from morning until weigh in
  2. R2S... by far the best frogs ive used.. spro is a close second however
  3. look for the hardest bottom possible... thats where your fish will be.
  4. i think you guys are acting like a bunch of girls and should just drop it all together? use what you like to use. who cares what anyone else uses!
  5. I love the whole line of Revos.. i own 2 STX's and an S... the S in my opinion performs just as good as the STX.. its very smooth and once its set up correctly with your lure weight, it performs flawless. Ive uses it pitching, flipping, casting, skipping, it just gets the job done.. i have the older model so it doesnt have the xcraftic frame.. but im sure it really wont be that big of a difference.. If you dont feel like spending the 200 dollars on a higher end revo or a curado or something i would definately recommend the Revo S
  6. i only use vanish as a leader with braid too.. vanish by itsself is garbage.. it doesnt work too bad as a leader..
  7. i have 2 of the older (last years) STX.. just got one from tackle warehouse for cheap and cant be more satisfied.. I dunno how you can get much better than they already are
  8. im not sure about the answer but it sounds to me like you are wasting good food!! especially the venison haha
  9. thats awesome! congrats
  10. carolina rigging a sweet beaver is deadly
  11. x2 on the coffee tubes!
  12. I use Gamma or Trilene 100%....
  13. hmmm... i had 30lb powerpro on my one frog rod.. i figured that would be fine for the areas that i fish... well the one day i went out and was throwin to some lilly pads and hooked a 12-13 inch bass... it got tangled around some pads so i went in after it. instead of reaching down and grabbin the bass i tried liftin it and the lilly pad up and snap... the line broke and the fish swam away with my spro frog in his mouth... needless to say i dont know if i completely trust PP anymore especially after reading your post...
  14. goodluck with ur new rig! curados are good reels! have you smacked the bass yet with it? post some pics when u do!
  15. I also just got the 8' Flippin stick paired w/ an STX... i am in grad shcool right now and havent had a chance to try her out.. but if she fishes as good as she looks then look out..
  16. whenever they go belly up
  17. good luck
  18. did you make it out to the lake and if so how did you do?
  19. A friend of mine has one of them and likes it... i have never used it so i cant tell you firsthand.. I'm sure someone on here has and could give some more input..
  20. wow nice fish! congrats!
  21. I let whoever i fish with use any of my gear.. the nice thing (for me) is that 99% of the people i take out ie family, friends dont know how to use a baitcaster so they usually just use my spinning gear (abu garcia Cardinal/ Berkely AMP and Abu Garcia Cardinal/Lightning Rod custom)
  22. ive never used a HML.. they may be great rods.. ive just never used them.. if you check out ***.com they have some great fishing gear.. the customer service is top notch.. and if you spend over 50 dollars you get free shipping! so i would be looking there if i were ordering anything... if you live near a cabelas or bps, i would go there first and just get a feel for some of the rods, and then order them off of tackle warehouse..
  23. Then go with a REVO STX.. i promise you that you won't be disappointed.. and pick up a rod of ur choice.. If you are looking at spending money then why buy a Cabelas rod? I could name you about 20 different rod brands that are better than Cabelas
  24. i witnessed a friend of mines gold carrot stix snap just above the handle on a cast... i dunno if it was cracked previously or just a weak spot in the rod.. but it snapped..
