I have one and i really like it.. i'd recommend it to anyone.. i have the 8foot flipping stick
i have used a couple of them from walmart.. they do a good job. i've caught a few bass on them when i use them.. im not much of a jig fisherman and havent used a lot of different kinds.. but from what i have experienced i would def. buy more if i lose these ones..
also i havent had a problem with hook rust or anything like that either
it was bad... 15 guys fished it.. a handful prefished it and did terrible..
5 guys weighed fish.. big fish was 1.77lbs.. biggest bag was like 3 fish for 3+lbs.... really bad weekend of bass fishing... the toothy critters were sure biting though
Hey guys. I have a club tournament tomorrow at the Allegheny Reservoir in Warren PA (on the border of PA and NY.) The weather is calling for some rain and 15mph wind and 55 degrees.
I fished this lake this summer at a tournament and caught 3 keepers fishing a shallow flat that led into a creek...
However this time of year the lake is down between 10 and 20ft... The man made structures (Crates) should be decently visible now.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what to throw or what to look for with conditions like this?
I was thinking spinners/baits, and some swimbaits or cranks.. any useful information would be appreciated!
Thanks
They tried to pull that one with me too. Here is how you solve that problem...
*** has a "over $50 = Free shipping" policy. If you go to customer service and quote this, they will match the internet price and not try to tack on the shipping charge.
We all know how easy it is to amass $50 in baits at BPS, unfortunately... :-[ ;D
it is because of that (and the crazy discounts they give to fellow college anglers) is why i use tackle warehouse 99% of the time!!
i typically use them both on a shaky head jig.. i think the only major difference is their size... but they both catch fish! I use watermelon magic on a shaky head and slowly drag it over rocks.. its deadly on the smallies
i have the 8' flippin stick. I have nothing but good things to stay about it. It is strong and i have total control of the fish.
the only negative i have found with these rods is the placement of the hook holder... my line tends to get stuck around it every so often.. but that is nothing major and i would recommend this rod to anyone
I wasn't talking about the company . I was just saying this particular rod , which is new , has no track record. Sorry for my lack of communication.
Do you use Powell? I am looking for a rod I can use primarily for Senkos... I was thinking of getting a Powell.. my College team just got sponsored by Powell so i want to take advantage of the discount we get.. Any recommendations?
Falcon doesn't have a favorable track record? I don't know if i agree with that.
I just got the Tessera.. i like it so far. it is balanced very well with my STX.. and can pull fish out of slop.. i'd def. buy another one..
