I don't know why I laughed when I read that but I did... And that makes sense too... use what they is on skateboards.. because like fishing reels.. the bearings dont get much of a break..
I have an old BW2 sitting on my dresser at home.. I tried to put some line on it but the thing will only cast a couple feet.. i'm sure it needs a good cleaning.. I don't know if the thing has ever even been used..
Hey all.. I have an old Berkley Tactics Pro Rod... it is a 6'6 Medium casting rod.. I found it in my Pap's garage.. it was paired with a Shimano Bantam Magforce reel.. I'm guessing this is from the 80's... have any of you old timers ever used this rod?... I have it paired with my Revo S as my crankbait rod and I cant put it down.. I have been using this rod for 3 years now and I really like it for what I use it for.... I just think it would be cool to find a little more about it.. Anybody have anything?
Anybody interested in having one sometime this summer? Just a thought I had.. Maybe somewhere in Central PA... Raystown, Sayers, etc? Anyone interested let me know and we can try and get something going.. It'd be nice to meet some of the guys here..
my mistake.. I just assumed a flippin switch and a twitchin bar were the same thing.. In my opinion they're both just one more thing that can go wrong on a reel..
If you really like your Pro Qualifier and have nothing against Abu Garcia... Then I would go with Abu Garcia.. Pro Qualifiers use mostly the same parts as Abu Garcia.. If you are happy with them, I'd look into a Revo Winch..
x2!!
If you want to go with a reel with a flippin switch, I would pick up a Daiwa Viento.. on sale at *** for 89 bucks.. I think you could get a lot more reel with that than a black max..
