  2. This topic has been moved to [link=http://bassresource.com/cgi-bin/bass_fish/YaBB.pl?board=misc_ID;action=display;num=1130142629;start=0]Everything Else[/link] by Chris.
  3. fish with braided line and cast the bait you won with the most treble hooks adn cast right across their line, and retrieve normally. either they get the hint or you will be the proud owner of a (slightly used) lure, courtesy of them.
  4. http://www.fishunlimited.org/ProgramsTagging.shtml here's a website where you can order tags to put on your fish when you catch them.
  5. i learned that the baitmonkey is an unavoidable, unstoppable, unconquerable force in my life who can only be curtailed with understanding, tolerence, and hiding my dang credit card.
  6. hey man, way to stick with it. congratulations on your new biggest fish, and i hope you get a bigger one real soon.
  7. hehe, why would i need a picture of the baitmonkey, he's with me every minute of every day. on that note, i think the UPS man is here, got to go.
  8. i have only used the walmart polarized special, : they are not the greatest, but im afraid to buy expensive glasses beacuse im constantly leaving them at gas stations, scratching them up in my bag, littering the bottom of the lake with them, etc, etc. is there really that big of a difference between the cheap one's and the expensive one's?
  9. Mysterious are the ways of The BaitMonkey
  10. i would approach it with a chrome colored rattle trap ripped under the corners and along the sides
  11. fishing in a stream that feeds the meramec with my ultralight, i caught about a 3 inch gar, it was the most tiny thing i had ever seen, looked like a pencil nub. one time when i was running trot lines on the river, i caught 4 turtles, a monster drum, and a gar on the same line. as i recall, i didnt get one catfish that whole day.
  12. you could not be talking about GULP. the regular berkley worms are great for durability, but gulp is absolutly horrible for it. the stuff dries out, a hefty strike will demolish a worm, heck, just casting it tears that suff up. does gulp catch fish? Yes is gulp durable? NO!!
  13. caught a 7.5# gal when she was feeding up in pre spawn on an inline spinner. was on my buddie's 8 acre neighborhood lake, where we also pulled out twin 5# hawgs about 5 min apart
  14. go and get your ultralight rig and make a feast of those bluegill, then come back and catch the bass
  15. only one way to find out!! id say go for it, since the only thing you have to loose is some time. is there a current in the canal during the summer? if there is, then those holes are likely hotspots for bass sheltening from moving water and using the current like a food conveyor belt.
  16. clip from this link (about halfway down)http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/news/story?page=b_fea_bt_0309_inside_bass_behavior_faq Question: Do Solunar tables work? Answer: No scientific experiments have been done to evaluate the effects of moon phase on bass behavior. A statistical analysis of angler catch records I once saw indicated that major and minor "peaks" may not accurately reflect fish activity. Activity periods were longer than advertised and minor periods were sometimes more productive than majors. Activity peaks were actually shifted up to two hours earlier or later than those published. Fluke thanks for the welcome, actually been reading this board for a long time but posting other places.(BASS site has too much whining about all the crap espn/BASS is trying to shove down people's throats)
  17. i read an article, i think on the BASS page, that has 2 guys who have opposite point of views, 1 saying they are real, the other saying they are a bunch of crap. both of their arguments were pretty convincing, so im still not sure.
