  1. Plastic baits. I estimate I'm up to about twenty pounds. Last year I stocked up on Senko style baits when I found a place that sold them at a disgustingly low price-I don't see myself ever needing to buy another one. I think I bought half the store(Sportsmanswharehouse) when it went out of business in my town.
  2. I've got six spinning outfits and seven baitcasters. I consider my best spinning rigs are my Rogue ultra light and my Crucial ML 6.6' with a Shimano Symmetre 2500. I'd like to get a new ML spinning rig to use primarily for drop shotting, and am willing to spend $500-600. My first choice for a reel is a Daiwa Sol 2500, or a Shimano Stradic. The rods I'm looking at are Rogue, Lucky Craft, St. Croix Legend, and GLoomis GLX. What combo would you put together for my situation? Would you have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks for all of the welcoming responses. The fishing was pretty good last night. Drop shotting a 41/2" curly tail got me about a half dozen fish- one of which was a five pounder(big enough to ruin my 3/0 hook). I live in Visalia btw.
  4. Hi All, I just joined this bb. I frequent others for fishing as well as shooting. I live in the center of California. I've been into fishing and shooting for about eight years now. Looks like you have a great bunch of people visiting here. I like the fact that manners and respect is so important on this site. I'll be heading on up to Kaweah Lake after I post this. The bite is starting to heat up up there. I'll let you know how it goes. I will be fishing out of a kickboat- my favorite way to fish lakes.
  5. Hi All, I'm new in this forum. This is a great thread to get started on. I lost a GLoomis back bouncer with a Quantum Cabo over the side of a charter out of Morro Bay, Ca when a huge swell through me into the railings. My choice was to hang on to the rig and go overboard, or stay on board and lose the rig. Additionally, I've lost a pair of swim fins and a set of waders at the lake I fish...just drove off with them on the ground right next to my truck.
