Fishbone

I bought some and was very disappointed in the lack of action. They seemed stiff and dead. Haven't tied them back on since.

I worked for Deka batteries servicing fork truck batteries and chargers. A fork truck battery is a deep cycle type. They are huge (2,000 #s) and get charged at 200 to 250 amps from the charger. Now the deal on those batteries was that they would be good for 1,500 charges.....more if well cared for. I'm not sure the same deal goes for small batteries, but I would think yes. So, if some one offered you 1,500 fill ups on your car's gas tank, you sure would use more than a 1/4 tank between fill ups. But then it's always nice to start a fishing trip with a fully charged battery. The other deal is not to let a battery stand for a long time in some discharged state. Sulfate builds on the plates which degrades performance.

What's a hot foot? Sounds like something I could use.

Where can head band mounted LED lights be found? Do they throw decent enough light to work by?

For decades I used the twin tail (white) on a round red jig head with great success. I ordered a 100 of them this month. My success fell way off. I compared it to an old one and saw where the tails were not as wide and had much less action. On the sink the new ones didn't flutter at all. The company said they are using a new manufacture (China?) but that shouldn't make a difference even though using a different plastic. Rrrrright. Now I have to try other makes looking for that good action and catch rate. Any suggestions?

What's a decent size bass for that lake?

I have been a stream fisherman for decades, but now am tackling lakes with a G3. I hope to learn from you folks. Can "posts since last login" be pulled up?
