  1. I went out on the Nashua River the last two evenings. Monday I caught ZERO, but my buddy caught a real nice 4lb 2 oz LMB. This thing was practically on shore. He snagged it in about 6 inches of water hiding under some of that thin green muck....I guess that is from pollen. Last night I went out again and caught a 1.8 and a 2.1, one was in deep water and one was in the shallows. I can't believe I caught the first one. I was reeling my worm in and it was totally covered with muck. He grab it and took a ride before I could set the hook.
  2. I went to Flints Pond in Hollis on Saturday from about 3pm to 6:30pm. I caught a 3lb LMB and half caught (LOL, those darn lily pads) 2 that seemed to be decent. It's tough pulling those darn fish out of the lily pads. It was windy and cool closer to dark, but the fish seemed active. That place is weird to fish...the places you swear has to have fish don't! I was fishing in places I would never thought would have some fish, but they were biting. I am off to the Nashua River now on my buddy's boat. We are headed down to Hollis since I can't go that far with my flat boat. I will update you all later.
  3. Put the flat boat in the Nashua last night at Mines Falls. SLOW bites...ended up with a goldfish baby bass, but I didn't get skunked. We were getting tons of bites and pulls, but you know...they weren't as dedicated as we were. I might go out and try it again today. Mines Falls was doing ok last week, but recent days has been SLOW. Everywhere is SLOW...I wish it was mid August again.
  4. Same here...using 7" Red or Blue Culprits with 3/0 Gamakatsu. I have tried other baits, but this consistently works much better. Plus it keeps those frickin Pickerel away. Although they give a good fight it's no Bass!
  5. Mill Pond again tonight from 4:30 to dark...they were biting right off the bat but did not get my first until about 6pm. I caught a 2lb and 3lb LMB in the middle of the pond in the millfoil crap and a dinky maaaaaybe 1lb but probably 3/4 lb LMG on the edge right before you get to the canal. I am very surprised at how active the fish are in there now. If you have a boat....stick to the middle around the edges of the weed beds...the bigger ones seem to hang out there. Red Worms are still working!! I love my red shad culprits.
  6. Last night I took my flat bottom boat in Mill Pond. The millfoil has come down alot so its much more fishable now. I caught two 1lb LMB in the canal and a 3lb LMB waaaay off the edge in a patch of millfoil. I lost a few big ones in the sticks along the canal. Those darn fish are smart!! Well not really, considering they chase plastic and rubber around! haha I ran out of light, but they seemed very active. I will try again tonight or maybe this afternoon before the cold weather comes.
  7. Went out to Musquash Sunday. Fish were jumping all over the place, BUT didn't catch much. I tried every bait I could think of. Managed to pull in a 2lb LMB and a 20" Pickerel. They were caught on red worm. The lily pads were think, but there was many breaks in between in some spots. After the rains the other day the fishing was not all that great. Anyone aware of the open water pond hidden in the back of Musquash? It's usually very clear and black. Sunday it was very murky. The rain probably ruined it. It doesn't take much to get murky in there considering the swamp surrounding it. 6 weeks ago we pulled in 15 fish in a 2 hr span. 13 were LMB and 2 monster pickerel. That was probably a one time thing. Every time I go back I get next to nothing.
  8. Anyone been fishing the river between Mines Falls and Hollis? I have been there everyday for the last week and have done real well. I have caught about 25-30 LMB in the past week and all were on culprit red shad rubbers. I have been using my red rubbers all summer mostly and it's working out great. My father got a 5.5lb LMB (pic below) across from the broad st ramp on Wednesday and I lost an even bigger one two nights ago just down river from there. The fish are much more active in the river these days and I have been there everyday because of it. I plan to go either to Potanipo or Musquash today.
  9. Was out on the Nashua River tonight in the cold mist. Brr it was cold in the breeze. Caught 2 LMB on the edge of the lily pad bed just up river from Mines Falls. Here is a pic. I think it was around 3-4lbs. I need a scale!
