  1. Check the "bargain cave" at cabela's I picked up a 150.00 pair for 60.00!!! I alway's use a floating lanyard now, do I need to explain!!! Lol! Junebugman
  2. Hello all! Its a 1993 bass tracker pro-17, with 25 hp johnson, very low hour's original seat's are even in great shape! No staple's pulling out, but need to put some bunk carpeting on it, the guy put new green treated 2by 4's on but did'nt do that! Hmmm? And it need's a tm battery, but that's it, i'll try it out today hopefully!! Later, Junebugman
  3. I was told the everstarts have "smaller, thinner" cell's or plate's in them versus the Interstate's etc which is the reason for the price! I only use interstate's, optima's are just too spendy but the extra money is probably worth it though. Junebugman
  4. The lake has been this way for a couple year's so it isn't post spawn or pre spawn condition, I used to catch fish there no matter the condition's were now they are just shut off, I guess i'll have to dig deeper!!! Junebugman
  5. Do any of you have any lake's that were once "hot" as far as catching bass and then just shut off? I have one, and the people who live on it say there have been no winterkill's etc? Where the heck do the bass go if they do or do they just get wise!!! Any ider's out there?? Thank's Junebugman
  6. I had a 70lb pro serie's on my old boat, it was a good motor, I bought new as a take off for 400.00!!all I ever had to do to it was regrease the pinion and gear's on top they dried up there is a bearing up there, and I also put a minnkota prop on it, you can do this on the mg's and it make's a world of difference, compared to the ninja prop's which are good if you don't fish vegetation!! Junebugman
  7. Hello all Record profit's AGAIN!!!!!!! For the fat cat's in the petroleum industry! Something smell's rotten in the outhouse!! Or should I say ALWAY'S smell's rotten in there I just would like to know how the gas price's have affected your bass fishing trip's or outing's, for me I just go to a lot of smaller lake's now, if I go to a bigger lake I go to one I know so I don't waste more fuel, I still go but am more careful where and how far!! Thank's, Junebugman
  8. I saw your from Camdenton, when I was down in missouri I stayed in Clinton and was a mile from Harry S Truman reservior! I bought my bass boat from a guy who lived in Collin's missouri! I *** you southern guy's who get to fish almost year round!!! Know where I can get a job down there?????? Junebugman P.S. I miss the "golden corral's" !
  9. Hey it's your money, and every one has a opinion, but as a "fellow wisconsonite"! Look around for a good used boat in that class and get it checked out by a competent "marine" mechanic, I have seen several champion's etc, for a lot less than that that are fully rigged, but it's your stash man!!! junebugman Personally I don't need a 35,000.00 boat to catch fish, and I know a lot of guy's who don't either!
  10. X's 2 rhino! You don't have to spend a fortune for a boat! I know there are guy's with the "My boat's better" than your's, just scan craigslist or even oodle .com there's alway's a ton of reasonably priced boat's on there too, as for myself I paid 1500.00 for my 84 astro glass bass boat that needed a little work done to it and now that it's pretty much done, I got a pretty good deal for it!! I did have to go to Missouri for it though but I did get to go to Bass Pro down there and meet KVD!!! Junebugman
  11. Just interested in what other people think how it affect's them, and the emotional connection they have when they are thinking of bass fishing or better yet out doing it!! For me, it relieve's a lot of the stresses of everyday live, I have heard some of the tourney pro's say they get tired of it, and I can't figure that one out!!! I LOVE TO BASS FISH Nuff said! Junebugman
  12. Yes some day i'll live down there, it's true there are "bad" area's in a lot of town's everywhere! But at least we have bass fishing to help us forget the achey breakey trouble's of our daily live's, at least Missouri has the "golden corral's"!!!!!!Junebugman
  13. Thank's for the advice everyone!! Appreciate it!! I'll keep trying. June bugman
  14. This is frustrating the heck out of me!!! The bass are picking up and dropping anything I throw as far as soft plastic's, i'll feel the pick up then wait for the run then when i'm ready to set the hook they will drop it!! They have been nailing the spinnerbait's though. Help!! Junebugman
  15. I was told that champion's have a "smaller" electrode which is more resistent to fouling than ngk's, as for your johnson they usually run better on champion's, that's what I ran in my 150 when I had it. Junebugman
