i inherited an old 6' lew's speed stick. mounted with a green abu reel from the 70's. a good ole rod. priceless, givin its character, history, and origin.

There was a topic a few days ago discussing people's techniques and opinions when fishing hydrilla. What about fishing water hyacinth? Anyone got some proper techniques fishing this stuff? tons of it where i fish. how deep does it go down from the surface? are there tunnels and caves under it like the hydrilla? should people apply the same techniques with it as hydrilla?

my first proper set up, revo s on a falcon cara. drove the boat to the first fishing hole, stood up to fish, realized it had rolled off the deck during the ride into at least 20 ft of water. watched my buddy fish for an hour or so before i had it in me to even start fishing. :-/ > :( :-X :-[

i've been using the glacier gloves and they're nice man, really are. i have the ones that have half the fingers exposed improving dexterity when tying lures and what not. also have a rubberish texture in the palm so your rod will stay in your hand, which is kinda important. still only use them on boat rides getting to certain spots. it dampens the feel, when fishing. chances are this time of year youre fishing slow, so that extra bit of sense of touch is critical. and sometimes its too cold and i have no choice but to wear them while i fish.

yeah its cause people drink it like its a real glass o tea, trying to quench thirst cause its sooooo good! but i learned my lesson in college with whoop juice. ever had whoop juice? you just basically dump every type of alcohol known to man into a huge cooler and add a bunch of different juices and ice till you cant even taste alcohol, then WHOOP! the floor comes out from under you and the bricks come flyin and all that
