  1. ahahahah....awesome. go go gadget fishing rod!
  2. senkos were designed to all but fall apart on a hookset. ever noticed how "aerated" they seem? you can, with any quality hook (Owner cutting point) set the hook with a stern, forearm hookset.
  3. good Lord. That was a pretty amazing birthday. Very impressive.
  4. just got back. they were definitely on the move for some baitfish. caught about 10-12 on the rattlin vibe, all between2-4 lbs. lost a big one that broke my lure off. having too much fun and forgot to retie after a few. that fish owes me $7.99. then I proceeded to catch a bunch more keepers on a koppers crankbait. fished for three hours and caught roughly 20. didnt even bother slowing down. cloudy, windy and warm on the day before a front...coudn't have asked for better conditions. I love fall.
  5. <<<another future Mattlures floating blugill swimbait owner. Can't wait to let one of em suspend next to some grass mats. i get a rush just thinking about it
  6. i should be allowed to thumb this up a thousand times. rootbeer, you mad bro? lol. come on you're still pulling for a solid team...you've had enough chances to rub it in the past few seasons, more that enough if i may add but what goes around comes around.
  7. i second that Grundle...hilarious. And i know you were being delicate but it was pretty messed up touching his sore tail....
  8. geez don't get me started. i'm all about getting a degree but they should definitely re-vamp the whole college system. i agree it's turned into way more of a business than an educational system. i don't fully understand the dynamics of it all but i do know that 50 grand in debt your first day on the job in the new real world makes it pretty much impossible to achieve the "american dream", which also needs to be redefined.
  9. tomorrow is the fourth day of warming trend before the next cold front here in the south, i expect to have a good day.
  10. lol at disposable cars
  11. never underestimate the power of the spoon. i did, for a long time too. next time at least experiment with one.
  12. wow. beautiful fish. the fish in your right hand in the first pic has some pretty intense coloration.
  13. nice bass. looks like a perfect hookset. love that bulging eye
  14. wow. its not even winter yet. Fanatic you are a good man
  15. do these fish hit the rig at the same time or does one bass bite, keep reeling, and other bass hit it because they think the bass thats hooked up is chasing a school? i swear i've thought of this idea before it came out, just never pictured it with all those wires. if i woulda pursued a patent, it'd be the Mississippi rig guess they're gonna have to up the limit
  16. finally found some rabid schools last wednesday, and caught them on just about every cast with the yozuri rattlin' vibe.
  17. been listening to a lot of Stephane Grappelli with Django Reinhardt. If you are a violinist or guitarist, it will make or break you,
  18. i have owned a cara, and currently own a Bucoo and a Mag. mags make a good texas rig set up but you can definitely find a more sensitive rod. they are extremely strong though. Bucoos and caras are made with the same blank i think. My bucoo (7' MH/ moderate action) does not make a good plastics rod, its like settin the hook with a rubber band. if you get a Bucoo MH fast, you should be ok. Caras are ideal if you prefer cork over eva grips, and spending the extra $70. Personally i don't think it's worth the price difference considering how similar they are in sensitivity. Hell i've heard nothing but good things about the st croixs and lowriders too
  19. hand youre reeling with or the hand youre holding the rod with? sometimes that star drag knocks my knuckles while reeling. can't think of what else it could be other than from just not relaxing.
  20. you know, i thought you'd lost your mind until i gave it a chance. i was almost certain it was gonna be crazy, electronic sound art with auto tuned singing but i was surprised. that song made me feel good. pretty freakin good havin a go at a country feel. i will admit that video scared me a little
  21. hm, is this a trick question? cause my panic box lures would be considered the ones i have the most confidence in, and also represent my most effective style/method that suits me personally, which is what i usually start out with. When i start "panicking", i start experimenting and throwing lures that aren't within my safe little realm that molds my style.
  22. i cant even explain how insanely hilarious this is. thanks ghoti
  23. Give me a link to these forums where they're gettin bashed i wanna go start a fire
  24. keep your eyes out for a Kistler LTA Helium 7'6" H fast action. haven't owned a slew of heavy rods to compare em to but it has certainly been an amazing rod for punching/pad fishing. a bass gently inhaling your bait feels like a violent tremor throughout the blank LOL and although it's frowned upon, i have hoisted 5 pounders covered in thick grass into the boat numerous times with this rod for over two years now (knock on wood) with no breaks despite its super light weight
  25. i love Florida, those are some nice black bass
