  1. yeah i figured that most people wouldn't have a name. guess i should've specified I was looking for the bigger more popular lakes like Castaic, Fork, Lay Lake, Champlain, St Clair, etc.
  2. i think i have specified enough times that i'm looking for the name of the hole only. not where.
  3. it's going to be sort of an "i've fished here" or "i survived lake x" kinda thing that fishermen can relate to and collect as they travel and fish these lakes. if i knew the name of your honey hole, but not its exact location, then how am i a threat?
  4. just names. not locations. thinking about making some t shirts. for example, i fish Ross Barnett regularly, and there is a spot called sunken ship point where some folks sunk a party barge several years ago, that is an easy name for a nice fishing location
  5. a shot in the dark this, but what lakes do you fish regularly and what are the names of some honeyholes on those lakes? Not names you've given them, but holes that most locals are aware of. not looking for exact whereabouts, just the names of the holes. and what is your most productive lure in these spots? Thanks! just realized i coulda come up with a better title given the open boys locker room :-[
  6. ah ha. thats hilarious. larry david-esque
  7. now that's realistic. never noticed you were form Mississippi. may have to get you to mail me one of those lipless cranks
  8. nice man, really nice. all you need now is a small fluke or even a 3" swimbait to add to the hook.
  9. that is one picture perfect steelhead. what a beaut!
  10. "He said the department has two boats with seven game wardens on the lake." What the hell? Do they really think that is enough? I'm about ready to back this scorched earth policy.
  11. cabin fever! the new 3D wes craven film should be a screamer
  12. yeah, yesterday sucked. third straight week of 100% sunshine. the water is lower than it's ever been, and not even a crappie to be had. be thankful at least you pulled something out. then on top of all this, 25 mph winds. goin back tomorrow to get revenge. just to a different area on the reservoir
  13. sorry, didn't see your pic
  14. i am going out tomorrow as well, and have pretty much the same game plan as you. thing is, it's kinda hard to have a solid game plan written in stone before i get out on the water to gauge the conditions. However, i'm just gonna stick with the typical fall patterns and throw spinnerbaits on the south end of coves and points, given the 14 mph northerly winds expected this weekend. then maybe slow down as the sun rises, and flip some lily pads with plastic swimbaits. again, just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings. good luck and let us know how you do.
  15. its just one of those things where all of the variables for successful fishing came together that one day, then the next day, one key element was lacking and the bite was off or the baitfish moved, something was missing in the equation. i agree with bassnleo about moving shallower, and searching the flats. be the bass, and ask yourself, where am i?
  16. Replacement for a brush hog? those words don't belong in the same sentence
  17. i really like the way the River2sea Larry Dahlberg Clackin Crayfish looks. sweet bait
  18. nice fishin! the time has come, finally
  19. thank you all for your prayers, as they are much needed and appreciated
  20. 2 years ago, she was diagnosed stage 3 ovarian cancer. with a hysterectomy and 6 months of chemo she went into remission for 2 years. i thought she beat it but it still hung over me like a black cloud every day. but last week they found two more small spots that will be removed Wednesday. then 6 more months of chemo. i pray with every bit of my spiritual strength, that this will be the last we hear of it. i cant stand to see my mom like this. thank you all in advance
  21. welcome. good to have another mississippian here.
  22. i intend on building some confidence with jerkbaits this year. i've had some luck but not enough to fish them as regularly as my other fall lures
  23. seriously? what a spazz. let me get this straight, when he finally threw it, he saw it hit the water, and hit it again? be funny if he just kept throwin it and then hittin it, forever stuck in a loop
  24. > anyone had this problem? someone is using my card number to buy girlfriends from a Jewish community dating service called jdate. why wouldn't a practicing Jew spend their own money to find love? :-/ this has never happened to me before. canceled my card number and got a new one, and signed up for paypal. i called jdate and they immediately refunded my account. thank you jdate. :
