  1. sound advice as usual
  2. yeah its definitely a revision of the one here.we added hyacinth and cleaned it up some
  3. i'm with Franco. if i had a desperation lure it would be the one i have the most success with and a lure that suits my strong point, but that's usually what i start with for the day.
  4. You guys think of anything else to add maybe? I'd be willing to contribute it here as a new log.
  5. like i said, i am all about identifying structure and developing a deep pattern with electronics, but when they use em to watch a bass watch your lure, seems kinda lame. the area i fish is 33,000 acres and the only reference i have is an old ariel map of the place before it was flooded. there is a little lowrance on the boat that came with it but I still think its decorative, its only good for reading water depth and temp.
  6. get out of class in 45 min and putting it in the mail. thanks for the patience guys. chromedog it depends on how much you take out. that box is packed full to the rim.
  7. kut tail senkos
  8. I understand it's hugely convenient to be able to see under the boat and all around you in order to identify an area that could hold bass by observing your underwater surroundings, but the other day i saw a fisherman on tv fishing a drop shot sorta deep, watching his lure and the fish around it. He could even see the fish's approach. I know this isn't cheating, but do any of you think that takes the fun out of a real hunt for bass? yeah yeah, i know, if you could put me on bass all day, catch em all day, because of your high quality electronics, would i not go....yes i would. but i roll without the electronics. (partly cause i cant afford them right now) And if i fish all my points, cuts, and backwaters in search of bass and finally get on em, the excitement (i imagine) is more intense when i get bit because of the element of surprise and rush provided by a successful hunt. is this an eye of the beholder thing? would you deer hunters get more fulfillment out of deer hunting if you knew without a doubt you were taking some meat home because you had a deer-dar?
  9. the mags have a quicker action to them than the LTA's, theyre a bit softer as well. good for medium to shallow cranks, poppers and lightweight plastics presentations. the LTA is my rig when fishing in the slop, fishing deep with jigs, cranks and worms. also a proper frog rod. LTa's got the mags beat on sensitivity also
  10. A man was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really annoyed. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 250 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!" The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
  11. zero bids?!? that's weird :-/
  12. Had no idea so much gear could fit in such a small box. got it yesterday but not gonna time till tomorrow morning to get it to the post office. the first three pics are what i got in the mail. the second to last pic are my takes and the last pic are my contributions. btw that fake cigarette with treble hooks is great. shoulda probably kept it. thanks dudes also that buckhair spinnerbait conglomeration thingy was irresistible. looks like a good striper bait for the spillway
  13. all three of these frogs have their place. rage toads are good when theres a bit of chop on the water as they are the noisiest. ribbits have a med churn action and horny toads are the most subtle. Zooms horny toad screw lock hooks are the best imo. its hard to explain but its all about the shape of the hook point, it isn't lined up with the eye of the hook, improving hook ups. don't bother with those double hooks if you're fishing in lily pads or through thick grass/cover
  14. nice goose, you're pic quality has improved greatly. and you're kicking my bass this winter. haven't even caught a bass this year. :'( how far are you from the Tennessee/Mississippi state line?
  15. thanks clary i just realized i erased my in box without thinking about it. pm sent to fishn hard to re-retrieve that info for me. don't remember who its going to, i do know its not going to you, sorry, no banjo minnows for you ;D
  16. its on its way to me, i gotta huge stack of banjo minnows i cant wait to get rid of (thank me later) oh and a couple dozen dancin' eels and hannon snakes. hope the box gets here before i change my mind!
  17. i heard a while ago that water is only meant to pass through the gills from front to back. i see people dropping big bass back in the water tail first, or moving them back and forth in the water to get oxygen through the gills which is considerate, just naive. or is it?
  18. in my experience big bass don't usually give away a strike like smaller bass that slam it several times first and swim off, big bass seem to calmly inhale the bait and just sit there so.... Feel the Bite
  19. the whole auto tune crap just grinds my gears
  20. its called crap. its what sells. if people knew what real art was, they wouldnt be buying into this cheese
  21. well said. theyre tryin way too hard
  22. they actually used to be cool. sell outs
  23. im about to vomit at this halftime performance
  24. beautiful chunk there Dwight. what'd you catch her with?
