  2. find the creek channel, sit in the middle of it and cast a worm or creature bait to either side of you onto the flats near visible cover. Let it sink and drag it off the flats and over the ledge into the creek channel. rinse and repeat

  20. Bass are not intimidated. Have you seen some of the alien creature baits on TW? lol. Philsoreel is close to home. Have you ever watched a crawfish move about in the water? Also do you know how far your jig moves along the bottom when you pull your rod tip a certain distance? It's all about mimicking a crawfish. They crawl, scuttle and dart around. So use your rod tip to move your jig in those same ways, giving it a good pop of the wrist every now and again but not too often, just to excite any bass that could be in the vicinity. If I'm casting long distance, its taken me at least 10 minutes before to reel in a jig if i don't get bit.
  21. Charlie Chaplin didn't speak in his movie career until the 1940's and by golly did he have something to say....
  22. That's what happened in Japan, those folks have been dealing with tsunami warnings their whole life with nothing extraordinary happening until this year. I'm sure they were sittin' in their houses, bars, or boats when they heard that siren and stayed put cause they had been conditioned into a false sense of security. Poor them. Sorry to highjack, but if i were born in Japan, a tiny island, knowing it sat near a major fault line, I'm not so sure I would have felt comfortable not moving somewhere else far away. But yeah, if a tornado like the one that recently tore through Mississippi and Alabama came back for seconds, I would want every siren blasting as long and as loud as possible for as many to hear. Just stick with better-safe-than-sorry mentality. They are sounding them for thunderstorms now because they help fuel the tornadoes that have hit recently which were so sporadic and unpredictable. That is all.
  23. freakin morons. thumbs up for "Turning your child into your own "tribute to freedom and choice" is unbelievably self-serving. Storm deserves to be loved for everything he or she is, not to be a pawn in the messed-up agenda of his/her parents."
