  1. As far as monofilament I find that the line breaks pretty much as advertised, compare to most braid break 50-80% higher than advertised. But as for the diameter, they pretty much all say that their line is thinner than they really are
  2. So lately I've been obsessed with finding the best fishing line. I always fish in some sort of current so I try to use the thinnest line that still has good strength. Over the last year I did many tests in my basement and was shocked on how companies advertise a certain diameter of line and strength, but it rarely reflects reality. I came across some videos on YouTube of this site called " The Line Laboratory ". This is by far the best I've seen. What are your favorite reference sites ?
  3. I finally found it there, thanks !
  4. Thanks, but some braid show their minimum breaking lbs while others their maximum breaking lbs...make for a big difference !!
  5. THanks for the info. I did see that during my search. It has amazing diameter. But the reviews I saw were mixed. Thanks
  6. But the Sufix 832 is what I use and it's 0.20 mm for the 10lbs !!
  7. I've been searching for a thin line to fish the currents. I came across the Sufix X8 which is an incredible 0.104mm for the 10lbs !! , but I can't find any good reviews on it. And I can't seem to find any 10lbs in stock anywhere. Is this discontinued ? Do any of u use it
  8. I see that the Hitena Pureline 10 lbs is only 0.073 mm in diameter ! That's the thinnest I've seen. And u say u have had a great experience with it. Thanks
  9. So Gosen seems to be the way to go if price is not an object. I usually last my braided line a couple of years. What's your experience with the Gosen ?
  10. Hey everyone, I fish large bodies of water where there is approx. 1.5 m/hr current. It's always a challenge to make contact with the bottom without having a big arc in your line. So I always try to go with the thinnest fishing line. I came across this line which is less than half the diameter of other popular fishing lines ( 0.084mm for 11 lbs VS 0.200 10 lbs. other brands ). It's called SLKX8 from Trabucco. Have any of you used it or know of similar fishing lines ?
