  1. NICE.......fast shipping
  2. Thank you everyone for the nice comments....... FISH MORE......STRESS LESS
  3. Well......to say the least the pre-spawn, spawn and post spawn has been a little tougher this year, than the last two years for me. I saw alot of big girls on beds, cruising but not alot of takers of what I was offering. So we decided to head out to a new lake and see what we could do. First fish came of a wind blown bank on a spinnerbait, next fish came off a chatterbait stroking it off the bottom, a few more picked up here and there and then this pretty lady decided to come out of the lily's and crush a Spro popping frog. Lets say, that she was a joy to tango with. I picked up a new to me Dobyns 766 flipping stick recently and thought what the heck, I'll see how it handles a frog over some lily's and grass. Not too bad, she dug in....I dug in deeper and was able to coax her out and do a little dance. Not the biggest that we've caught, but a nice improvement over what we have been catching. A quick photoshoot, (no Jimmy Houston kiss) and she was back in her home to chase more frogs. Weight on scale 6.34lb
  4. Like others have said, depending on the cover that is around (grass, down trees) use braid. I like 55lb braid, on a MH to H rod. Use a twitch twitch pause type of cadence (hollow body), however you want to work it, and wait 2-3 seconds to feel the weight of the fish, and then give a quick snappy hook set. Fishing topwater will really get your blood pumping. And don't be afraid to throw it up under overhanging trees, deep into standing grass because more times than not, there is a big fish waiting to ambush anything skipping along the surface of the water.
  5. WOWWWW.....STEEZY picture made the front page article......Good times fishing with you ole buddy, my PRAYERS are constantly going out to you..... And that was a good article to read.....
  6. I do have a couple of Dobyns rods I could throw that on, with no worries at all.....It is all a matter of personal choice Bashing the product, not in the least. Capitalism has driven the market today, and yes, that is the beauty of it, it allows people to live out their dreams. And for one to take what I said "LITERALLY," that was not the intent. I apologize if it rubbed you the wrong way My statements were all in jest, with no malice intended
  7. What I mean is there is no way a "swimbait" should cost as much as some rods....They need their heads kicked in for that price
  8. THE DEVIL IS A LIE!!!!!!!
  9. +2 on bending the hooks away from the hollow body some. By doing that, it gives the hook an extra 1\8th of an inch when the body is compressed. Wait till you feel the fish, and swing your hook set FAST AND HARD
  10. Oregon Native, Did you take your Costas in and have your prescription applied to the lenses? Also do you have the G's or the P's? THanks
  11. They are all yanking your chain............ OR ARE THEY? Not a bad idea of thinking outside the box. Think of it this way. Look at the Matt Lures Ultimate Bluegill.....Those baits mimic bluegill feeding on the bottom, nose down tail up.....That bait is deadly around spawning bass, as a bass CAN NOT STAND the site of a bluegill robbing their nest eating their eggs....
  12. Take your pick Northstar custom jigs with rage craw
  13. I concur......I've been experimenting with the color orange this year, and it has produced well. My favorite is to take a swimbait on a chatter bait, and paint the belly orange.....result three 6lb bass on back to back to back casts in 15 fow over grass........awesome
  14. During this years spawn, it was the Yum Money craw in white. Then moved to Rage Tails. I put Rage Tails on all my jigs, and even a few chatterbaits
  15. Oooohhhh weeeeeeeee that is a nice one. Way to go
  16. CONGRATULATIONS............her smile shows how excited she was
  17. Nice catch bruh
  18. I've had these jigs a few months now, and I am desparately trying to find some good matches for trailers. What would you use to match up to these? Also, post a link to the trailer if you would please. Jig #1 Jig #2
  19. OINK OINK I'm envious that you caught her and not me CONGRATS TO THE BOTH OF YOU!!
  20. I'm not a coffee drinker, so that wouldn't be a big thing for me........Now if it was my BEER, there would be hell to pay
  21. VERYYYYYY NICEEEEEE Congrats
  22. ^5 to this.........for BIG-O, this is a normal everyday catch for him......I sure do wish I had his skills at locating and catching the big gurls.......Awesome catch
  23. Nice catch bruh...
  24. I fished all Vendettas last year, and have since upgraded my 4 rods to the Ducketts Micro's. Like others have stated, they are lighter, and more sensitive than the Vendettas. Now don't get me wrong, the Vendettas are some good rods for their price, as soon as you can fish with one, you will feel the difference.
