  1. That is definitely a funny site. You can see from the look on her face here, that she is very skeptical of the fish flopping around
  2. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! I swear there is nothing better than seeing the smile on their faces when they hook into a fish and a bigger smile after they land it. These are memories neither one of you will ever forget and the bond between you two just got stronger. Now if I can get my little 4 year old girl to not scream and run away after she sees it and will not look terrified when she poses for a picture with her catch. Again bruh......CONGRATS
  3. I agree with the gammie octopus hook. On any good bite, to where the fish just doesn't grab onto the senko, I've had good hook sets. All basically in the corner of the mouth, or the roof of the mouth. With these hooks, I've yet to really get a deep down the throat hook set which allows me to get the hook out quickly and return the fish to his buddies so others can catch them.
  4. Wowwwwwww that is one heckuva deal. Now where is the nearest GM and who can I paypal some money to pick me one up who has a GM near them and is willing to hook a fellow BR member up if I cover all the costs??
  5. Way to go CONNOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The swivel is actually not that large. The camera makes everything look larger than what they really are. The largest fish is the one that is hooked to the scale and it weighed a whopping.................1.76 lbs But I will try the leader idea and see how that helps my catch rate
  7. I am using the swivel to aid in the amount of time it takes me to tie on a different lure. I will try a leader and see if that helps any. Should I stick to the old adage of 18-24" of leader?
  8. It was. It weighed in at a whopping 1.76 lbs Trying to get the bigger fish to bite has been a tryind ordeal. I have thrown just about every possible bait I have to see if I can get them to bite, but the dinks are the only ones to nibble. These pics are all over about 4 different outings, nothing biting consistent each time I've been out.
  9. Well the bite has fallen wayyyyy off at my favorite spot. For the last 4 outings I have only been able to land 7 fish. Normally I can pull in on average about 4-6 fish per outing, even if they are lil dinks. Here are the pics of the fish I have been able to land. The first one is of a guy that was there that never saw a LMB before and was cheering me on the whole time. As I was talking to him, I threw out a cast, and got so into talking to him that I didn't even recognize the tick tick tick at the end of the line, and this is what was trying to get my attention.
  10. Dont you just hate those pesky lil critters
  11. You stated that you he will play in the NFL like his dad, what was your number, when did you play, and what teams? NICE CATCHES by the way
  12. What type of baitfish do you see in the water? Bluegill, shad?????? You can try just about any color, throw it for a few minutes, if you don't get any bites, change up colors until they start biting. Then you will know what the bass are wanting.
  13. Here are some other pictures of the lil chunks I caught. One is of the same fish, and the other is of the other one I pulled out of the same spot. Now this is the first time that I've pulled some decent size bass out of the same area. And the funny thing, is that both of these fish just picked up the senko, I set the hook (which they were barely hooked in the corner of their mouth and the hook just fell out when I grabbed it) both fish pulled like a big catfish, never really jumped just kept their head down and tried to bury themselves in the grass cover. On the other hand, the dinks that I caught put up more of a fight. Well I'll stop bumpin my gums now and post the pictures
  14. Went out to my favorite local pond this morning. I got there about 7:45 and the bite in the air is kind of nipply, so I knew that the fishing was going to be a little slow. I threw cranks, swimbaits, spinners, buzz baits and finally got some hits on some slow moving senkos. The favorite bait to guarantee a fish. I didn't land my first fish until about 9:20 and I hit two lil chunks within five minutes of each other. Here is one picture and I'll upload the others when I get them from a buddy. I was also trying the new rod/reel combo, 6'3" medium Vendetta with a Daiwa Magforce. I got to say this combo is the BEST that I have ever purchased. The feeling, the smoothness of the retrieve of the reel, EVERYTHING is perfect for what I wanted to spend. I just might have to go out spend another bit of change in a few weeks to get another setup. Enough of me babbelin Steezy, I am still in LOVE with your combos
  15. I was watching dog 101 the other night, and they had a special on worlds ugliest dog. Now there was a boxer that they were show casing that had an extended lower jawline. This fish and that dog has the same extended over bite of the lower jaw. STRANGE
  16. That is what it's all about right there. I love taking my little girl fishing with me also.
  17. Steezy, with what you jus said, I wonder who else has caught this fish besides me and you. When I caught it, it had the same swelled area and we were both in awww at what was happening with it. I'll be sure and handle any other fish alot more carefully.
  18. I wonder who that could have been
  19. Ummmm please don't call PETA on me ;D

    Ouch

I was at the local spot yesterday, and threw on a crank bait made a few long casts, then all of a sudden felt dead weight. I was like, oh my, this is going to be a good one. When I finally was able to see what was on the end of my line, I noticed this. I sure hated that I hooked it liked this, this seemed kind of painful as when I pulled it out of the water, the mouth was wide open. Heal up well lil feller
  21. I've gotten away from the BIG Monsters. I'm housing some Green Terrors, Festae, and a common pleco. I've got them in a 225 so hopefully that will be enough room for them all. I'll have to add a couple more hiding places. Who are you on MFK and what are you keeping?
