  1. It's up for anybody who's interested. It's a decent quality video, and an amazing performance by the new champ. http://mmafightvideosonline.blogspot.com/
  2. Autotune and Pro Tool can make anybody a star nowadays. Those are terrible lyrics though. WOW! Check this out. This is real talent with no frills. This song changed my life. Korky Buchek:
  3. Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!! : Haha, I always watch them at midnight or the morning after on the web. MMA Fight Videos Online.blogspot or MMATKO are the places to go. I had a feeling Jones was gonna get his butt whipped...Broken Bones Jones!! Good thing I'm not a bettin' man.
  4. Here's my routine in the spring: -Thorough cleaning to remove dirt, dust, and grime from storage. I use a sponge and a fine brush to get in all the nooks and crannies. -3M Marine Rubbing Compound applied to small areas by hand if needed. Take it easy! -Another cleaning to remove grit from compound. -3M Finesse-It 2 polishing glaze applied with a buffer. -Another cleaning to remove fine grit from glaze. -One coat of Pro Tec Sealant to seal the gelcoat pores. -Two coats of Maguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax (liquid) applied with buffer. I'd highly recommend 3M Finesse-It 2 glaze. It's expensive but the stuff is amazing! The gelcoat surface will be as smooth as ice after applying the glaze with a buffer. It works well to fill in swirl marks and minor scratches and will remove slight oxidation from the gelcoat surface, leaving it crystal clear. It's not always easy to tell if the gelcoat has minor oxidation, until you glaze and start to get rid of it. During the season, every week or two I will wash the boat with Maguiars Flagship Premium Wash and Wax. It's a great one step cleaner with carnauba wax in it. I'm really happy with Bow To Stern, but unlike some people, I don't consider it an alternative to waxing. I use it on the boat every second or third trip. It really keeps a great shine on the boat and removes water stains with ease. This routine has my gelcoat looking better than when I bought the boat a couple years ago.
  5. I beg to differ...I've got mono that is well over 10 years old that is still good to go. So long as it hasn't been exposed to high heat, prolonged direct sunlight or chemical fumes, it will last indefinitely. I have one rig with mono on it that I change the line on every Spring...using the old mono hasn't been a problem yet. Why do I have mono that is so old? I used to do some work for Berkley and we got bulk spools for cheap. I agree. I have bulk spools of Trilene XT in storage and they are about 12 years old. I mainly use them for backing, but I was tossing the 10# last fall on a jerkbait setup, and the line performed very well. It even held up to a 10 lb pike that hit right next to the boat.
  6. Yeah it is. I was wrong. I thought violet penetrated the deepest. "The colors at the middle of the visible spectrum (yellow, green and blue) penetrate seawater to the greatest depth, while colors of longer (violet) and shorter (red and orange) wavelengths are absorbed and scattered more rapidly." http://www.montereybayaquarium.org/PDF_files/teaching_activities/Light_in_the_Deep_Sea.pdf
  7. Yeah, me too. Are they for sale? They look great.
  8. Congrats, it looks great!! Now get yourself a buffer and some 3M Finesse-It 2 glaze and make that sucker shine like a gold tooth! You'll really be happy with it then. That's half the fun for a new bass boat owner. At least it was for me.
  9. You might as well go "all in" and replace the trebles on your KVD crank with #2 KVD Elite trebles. Those are the best I've ever used, but they're awfully expensive if you have more than a few cranks to swap out.
  10. If they have lots of sales, an excellent feedback rating, and a return policy, you have more to gain than you have to lose. I buy a lot of fishing gear on eBay, and I've only been upset with one transaction. That was two weeks ago, on a 100 pack of #2 Mustad Triple Grips that I bought for $24. I like to use the TG on spoons and as the back hook on cranks. These were some "Acme" brand knockoff and the dullest hooks I've ever seen. I can tell they were knockoffs because, among other things, they were inline trebles and real TGs are not. So I bitched at the seller and told him he was a scammer because I was 100% sure, and he tried to tell me they were damaged in shipping and that's why blah, blah, blah. I wasn't hearing it, so he refunded my money plus return shipping and told me to return them, just so I wouldn't leave a terrible feedback I assume, which I never even had to mention. These sellers are all about protecting their feedback rating, so if you're not happy, let them know and they'll make it right. I like buying from eBay because these sellers are the modern version of the "Mom and Pop" store, and are always undercutting the prices of the major retailers.
  11. What is that? I've found a good fit with the 2/0 Gammy Finesse Wide Gap hook. The shape of this hook really causes it to find it's mark in the fishes jaw. Sometimes, all you have to do is tighten the line after the cast to see if you can feel anything, and you end up hooking the fish just by doing that.
  12. I think that the blue and purple spectrum would penetrate further than ultraviolet radiation would, but I'm not sure.
  13. My understanding is that the depth in which UVR penetrates depends on the clarity and level of dissolved organic material(DOM) in the water. I have heard of penetration of 1 centimeter is some waters and 300 meters in the clearest water. There has been scientific studies done recently on how the different bands of UVR affect the coral reefs of the world and whether or not they contribute to bleaching. A main issue in these studies is how the phytoplankton reacts. It lives in the top 2-3 meters of the water column and feeds the food chain in the ocean, and has reacted differently in various parts of the world because of the differing water clarity.
  14. My goals this season are to get a better feel for fishing the dropshot and gain some confidence in the rig, and also to spend more time pitching and flipping soft plastics instead of always jigs, jigs, jigs.
  15. I'd like to know what people think of the Aurora Shad once they get they're hands on them.
  16. I would start with zero spool tension and set the mag brakes at about 1/3, and try that. I've found that when I'm backlashing while pitching, it's usually because I'm throwing too hard and not letting the rod and the pendulum swing do the work for me.
  17. It's about time for the TW sale. That one can't be too far off.
  18. Thanks for adding the twin packs for the folks who were at work when the sale kicked off.
  19. They're not worth $5 a pop, but they're alright around sand, rocks and wood, or anywhere you would generally fish a football jig. Just like the pigskin, the shape of the head doesn't allow them to pass thru the weeds very well.
  20. Xcalibur XR50 in Foxy Momma or Lucky Craft RC 2 in American Shad. The Rapala DT Flat 3 is close on their heels, even though they haven't been on the market for very long. Honorable mention goes to the Cordell Super Spot with upgraded hooks.
  21. Have you considered the DX795? It has quite the following from what I've heard.
  22. Perhaps in the future, there could be a policy where each participant would preferably take pics or at least make a detailed list of the items they are adding and removing, and would post the pics/list in the thread to allow the other participants to either veto or accept the swap. The chance are if you don't know the name of an item, it's not something worth trading. This way, it would be fair and nobody would be allowed to take advantage of the rest of the group, which appears to have happened here. As well as doing this, the box could also have an inventory list that each participant would edit and sign just to clarify.
  23. I've observed that I catch the darkest bass while frogging. I believe that just like humans, the bass are "tanning" and producing a melanin-like substance to protect their skin from ultraviolet radiation.
  24. Wouldn't that be genocide? I mean no offense to the mental challenged, but this "Vehement" theory is the most retarded theory I've ever read or heard. It makes Scientology look like a sensible option. Chris, you can't be serious. The end doesn't justify the means in this case.
  25. Adrian Peterson has a heavy foot, but other than that, he is one of the classiest athletes in pro sports. Any fan of NFL football knows that. But he really, really made a horse's toe out of himself with that comment. If we were mike'd up as often as a top professional athlete is, who knows, we might make a few mistakes too. Could've been worse, it couldn't been a white guy saying it.
