  1. Anyone been bassin? This is the longest time I've seen this forum without anybody posting on it.
  2. Hey guys, Im moving down to Brighton at the end of this summer, and was wondering if you guys have fished Chandler Pond or Chestnut Hill Reservoir in Brighton? Anyone know if fishing is even allowed there, and if so, are there bass?
  3. Hey guys, has anyone still been catching bass on beds, or is the spawn all done? Just wondering because I will probably be trying the Contoocook River this weekend which I know is a bit colder than most ponds around southern NH, so I wasn't sure if I should be targeting spawning or post-spawn fish.
  4. For replicas they usually charge by the inch of the fish you are replicating. $8.00 per inch is around average, so $160-$200 for a 5 pounder would be my general approximation depending on where you got it done. Replicas wont fade and deteriorate as quickly as regular mounts too, so it will still look good 20 years from now. If you search bass replica mounts on google there are tons of options. Hope that helps you out.
  5. I must have seen you yesterday fishing from shore at Hoit Marsh, because that is where I was fishing. Im trying Hot Hole this week and I will let you know how it was.
  6. Nice largemouth CLRinSNH, that thing is nice. I got out to a pond in Concord today with clr9933 and I caught 7 largemouth, a big crappie, and about 10 pickerel all on a black spinner bait. The largest was only 2 pounds, but there was a lot of activity in the shallows which was promising. Still waiting to hook into my first BIG bass of the season!
  7. WOW fmoore!!! Thats one of the nicest looking smallies I've ever seen in NH. I got out this evening for a little and even though it was slow, I got a 3 pound 12 ounce largemouth on a black spinner bait with a single Colorado blade.
  8. Nice largemouth fmoore. 7 fish in the snow still isn't a bad day! I went out yesterday afternoon to a small pond and didn't get anything until much later in the evening. Got around 8 or 10 fish all in less than 2 feet of water, and they were all right on the shore where the sun had been warming up the water all afternoon. Tried jigs, crankbaits, senkos, flukes, jerkbaits and no bites until I put on a rage rooster. Got them all while it was falling right after it hitting the water. Not a lot of size to most of the fish, but here was the biggest one.
  9. That sounds like an awesome day Jaystraw. Great way to start the season
  10. Pushing it back works for me as well because clr9933 cant go any more, so I wouldn't have a boat to be in. Hey badcrawdad, how much snow is left in Pittsburg still?
  11. Cast a few at my favorite small pond up near Plymouth, NH today and found this big largemouth floating near shore. I pulled it out of the water and I am guessing it was 6.5-7.5 pounds. It was definitely one of the biggest largemouth that I have seen in NH. Too bad I couldn't have caught it before it died!
  12. Thats a handful of smallies Shane! Nice largemouth too Fmoore. Good to hear that fish are getting a bit more active. Did you catch your largemouth in real shallow water on the jerkbait & crankbait?
  13. My vote is for Stumpfield. It was mostly iced out a couple of days ago so it SHOULD be all clear by now, and like you said Jaystraw, it will probably heat up quickly since its shallow and has slightly stained water.
  14. Me and clr9933 went out on the Merrimack today a little before 6 am and caught some nice smallies on everything from soft plastic flukes, to Zara spooks, to rage tail roosters. Here were two of the better ones.
  15. Thanks, I went from shore at Beaver Meadow Pond in Concord. Its behind the golf course.
  16. Nice smallies Shane. I went out for a little bit today at a pond in Concord and got 1 largemouth on a power worm. Thats my first fish of the year that wasn't from the power plant. The season has begun!
  17. Hey guys, im moving to Boston this fall and was wondering if anyone knows of any good bass lakes where you can either fish them from shore or rent boats at. Looking for places within half an hour of the city preferably. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions they don't mind sharing.
  18. Me and clr9933 went out on the Merrimack this afternoon and I ended up with a 3 pound smallmouth on a sexy swimmer swimbait by Strike King. I feel like it is getting a little bit tougher to get solid fish out of there now because they have seen literally thousands of lures in the past 2 months. I can't wait for the ponds and lakes to warm up so I can fish where the bass haven't been getting hit in the head with lures all winter!
  19. Try typing in Stumpfield Road, Contoocook NH 03229 in your GPS
  20. All on the smokin rooster again shane?
  21. Me and clr9933 will be there, most likley in our jon boat.
  22. haha Shane, it seems as though you are always "at it" when it comes to crushing every bass at the power plant. Me and clr9933 went on Sunday afternoon and each got a decent smallmouth and lost a couple on white/silver crankbaits and soft swimbaits.
  23. Went out on the Merrimack today with clr9933 and even though they were pulling water we didnt do so well. I lost good smallie on a popper and clr9933 got one on a jig. Ill be there tomorrow morning to try again
  24. I posted this link on the other thread but it didn't work after the first day. It is a bunch of the bass me and clr9933 got in 2010. Hopefully it makes everyone even more excited for ice out.
  25. Nice fish shane. I see myself in the background on one of those pictures. Me and clr9933 had a rough morning on the water and didnt land anything in the short amount of time we were there.
