  1. Hark!! Do I hear a cover-up? Maybe the crazy legs is better!!! I have figured it out! MWAHAHAHA- to borrow the colopialism.
  2. I really don't care. Give me a legitament shot at a 10lber and I'll be fine. I doubt the lakes I fish, with the exception of one, have ever hosted a 10lber in my lifetime :-/ :-/
  3. You don't like swimbaits do ya Branuss04????
  4. All right. I'll bight. Let us know when we can get 'em!!! I love the baby bird outta the nest idea. Make it in a muskie size. That would get some blowups!!!!! Either that or smallmouth. Bronzies ROCK. So do Buckets. But back to the subject. MUST GET 'EM ^^^^^^ Bait Monkey
  5. Anybody ever done this??? I was on the lake today and thought I was gonna throw watermelon red brush hogs by lillypads and let 'em just kinda fall. I rigged up with a smaller version o the brush hogs, and t-rigged it with an un-pegged 1/8oz bullet weight. 'bout two casts into my day I got bored and started tossin' these things out and swimmin' 'em back. I got two bass almost immediatly. What went on here??? did I just stumble onto the next big thing or was I just lucky?????
  6. Sorry, didn't catch that thread :-[ :-[ Mr. Bubbles or Oxi-Clean???
  7. Funny you should mention that. A guy I was fishin' with caught a 10lb carp on one o those things. They catch ANYTHING!!!!!
  8. LOL. If I donate fifty bucks can I catch it :-? :-? :-? :-?
  9. Have any of ya'll seen this lure or chucked it??? Looks.........interesting. I don't know much 'bout swimbaits, but I don't know 'bout this 'un........ Would like to here what ya'll think.http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10202507____SearchResults
  10. Yeah, the crappie are only medium sized 'round here............ I caught a bass today, but it wasn't real big, so I got a couple buddies to help me throw it back.
  11. Ahh........Storm Wildeye Live Crappie. Steady retrieve off the bootom, lift and drop the rod tip slightly. The hit is usually just a light tap. Your line might just go slack. Add scent. Slam the hooks in when ya get the chance. I caught a 15' Crappie on one 'o those. LOL. BTW, I like the "Crappie" pic, LOL....................................
  12. Thanks for the responses guys!!! I'll check out Tackle Underground. I know 'bout the whole discouragement thing, as I tie flies, and have nearly given up 'cause my stuff looked like junk. I can't wait to get started!!!! I DON't need another hobby, but I have an opening on my addiction list. LOL. Thanks again!!!! P.S. You never heard of Uncle Homer???
  13. Thanks!!! What I meant 'bout the grain is I heard Unc Holmer say that you should put the eyes/ hook hangers through the grain, not with it, for strength. I'll have to checkout more 'bout this, but thanks a whole lot!!!!
  14. Dude, whats up with the "messed up" term :-? That thing rocks!!! So does the clown!! Keep 'em comin'!
  15. Dude, you got some talent!!! Those craws are sweet, and those LC's are sick!!! Are those the RC 1.5's????
  16. Nice!!! Dude, try those things at Falcon Lake sometime!!!!
  17. I've been lookin' at all the great baits you guys have been churnin' out and the bait monkey has got me. If ya don't mind, could you guys help a newbie out??? First of all, how do I get wood with the grain across where I wanna put the line tie/ hook hangers/ joints??? And is it okay to just drill holes in the bottom of the bait and insert the weights via that method, then epoxy/ file it to form to the bottom of the bait?? Also, can somebody give me a couple of simple paint patterns for like bluegill and shad??? And any other tips??? I'll take anything I can get. I'm ready and eager to learn!!!! Please help!! Also, I'm fishin' a couple of lake that the bass in aren't really all that big in, one of them with TONS, no MILLIONS of shad. The other one has bluegill. What size should I use here????? I would like maybe a 3 1/2" or 4" shad and a three, three and a half inch bluegill????? Maybe????
  18. Very nice, I love the 2nd one down in the 2nd pic, but they're all GRRREAT!!!!!
  19. Try a firetiger 1/8th oz buzzbait with a trailer hook, or burning, and I mean burning a white spinnerbait. On the spinnerbait, add a bulky trailer and a trailer hook. You might want to cut down the skirt size a bit to. Make it easy for the bass to inhale the bait, 'cause when your movin' it as fast as ya need to, those bass need all the help in the world. But they can get their mouth on it. Also, if you can find clearer water, try a small swim-bait in 'gill colors. Pond bass are usually finicky 'bout their colors. Baby Bass, Bluegill, or nothin' else. 'Cept the occasional 60mph white spinnerbait. Also, if their hitting but not taking the buzzbait, switch over to a firetiger or bluegill wakebait. If the fish are shut down, try a 4 inch finnesse worm in translusent colors in the clearest water you can find. Hope this helps. This is what I've found to turn on the bass in the man made, heavily pressured pond five minutes frommy house.
  20. OOPS!!! I'm ew, sorry :-[ :-[ Delete it. Sorry again :-[ :-[ :-[
  21. You have GOT to be KIDDIN' me!!!! The action on that eel limanator is just plain sick ;) :o. I_G__O__T TO GET SOME!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
  22. Whats you guys favorite soft stickbaits, and in what colors and sizes???? Also how do you rig 'em and fish 'em. Mine would be a 5" Watermelon/Pearl lamanite YUM! Dinger or Gander Mountain Tick Stick. Weightless T-rig or wacky with a weedless Eagle Clawhook. With the T-rig I toss 'em and deadstick 'em or "jerk" 'em. Wacky, I let it sink then twitch it to walk it over weedtops. Lets here what you guys use!!!!!
  23. Interesting...They all look cool, but the wing ding is (Don't take this wrong) weird. Like has been ask before, how do ya rig/fish it???? It would have a good quivering action if t-rigged. I like the tube a lot. The eyes are a nice touch, as is the segmented body. Keep up the good work
  24. Yes, please describe your lake. That would be very helpful. Water clarity, type of cover ya fish, averge fish size(of what you catch), ect.
  25. Good to here someone else is pickin' up a long rod. Don't know how much you know 'bout fly fishing, but I will try to give ya some tips. Flies: Clouser Minnow(http://flyshack.com/DisplayItem.aspx?ItemID=22965)- Chartruse/White is a good all round color, but experiment. Try size 8 to get use to 'em, then go bigger. Fish with short jerks on the line, movin' it about 1"-2 1/2" each time. Buggers(http://flyshack.com/DisplayItem.aspx?ItemID=10147) This is a god fly in the same size as the Clouser. These two togather are the fly fishermans spinnerbait. Anytime, anywhere. Try fishin' it like a worm or like the clouser. These two flies will get ya started, and they're cheap, and if ya wanna start makin' your own, they're relatively easy, to. I tie these myself, and they're not near as hard as say a parachute royal coachman, but you wouldn't know what that is. Leaders: Make your own. Start with a 3ft section of 15lb or higher line. Tie a loop knot in one end. Add a 2ft section of 10lb via a blood knot, then add a 2ft. section of 8lb via the same knot. Loop the end of your fly line via a loop knot like the double surgeons end knot, then use a loop to loop connection to join the leader to the fly line. string up, tie on a bugger and go get 'em!!!! BTW Happy B-day!!!!!!
