  1. Don't.....DON'T! These reels run nice for a few trips, but 3 trips into my using it the anti-reverse was giving me issues, the magnetic control mechanism rubs inside the housing, creating a squealing noise, and the plastic piece that covered the thumbar cam off. Its NOT a good purchase...... > > >
  2. I'm not familiar with the models you spoke of but a 7' ML works great for this technique. I believe the Avid AVS69MLXFis similar.
  3. One, on a hookset into a 14" Bass. 7' Mojo Medium with 12lb mono
  4. X2. I have way more confidence in a baitcaster.
  5. I'm starting to throw swimbaits more and am kinda wonderin' about throwin' lures over the recommended weight on a rod. Its really a pain to try to take 3-4 rods on a trip when I don't know what I'll need to throw.... So, is it safe, and how far over...?
  6. Bronzeye all the way!!!
  7. I had a 26 day old Mojo snap on the hookset a couple weeks ago. Not a good thing....... Hope they treat you fair.
  8. Very interesting. Great story. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  9. Thanks for taking time out to post this. It is really informative.
  10. I'd tell you, but I'd have to kill you.....LOL. No seriously, the ideas I have for baits I wanna keep for my own personal use, and a few select people.
  11. Good points. Also, have you ever tried melting the zip-tie instead of using glue? Just a thought......
  12. Man...... That is a hawg!! Were they all that big?
  13. Very nice hawgs!! That smallie..... Man. I'm gonna dream tonight.........
  14. Very nice hawgs!! That smallie..... Man. I'm gonna dream tonight.........
  15. Yeah, I have to agree with whats been said. 3.5-4lbs. Very nice fish.
  16. So tell us how they work......
  17. The zip-tie doesn't have the elasticity of a o-ring, so it changes the action, if I'm not mistaken...
  18. Yes!! Thanks alot. I was on the verge of going crazy. Searching 22 consecutive pages can do weird things to you Thanks again- Bass Junkie
  19. Not nearly enough, not NEARLY enough.....To satisfy the horrible longing for that perfect lure.......LOL.
  20. A little while ago someone posted a thread about using a colorado blade as a crankbait bill. I can't find it on the search thing, so I was wondering if anyone knows where this thread is at..... Thanks in advance- Bass Junkie
  21. Just shootin' out ideas..... LOL. I was thinkin' inside, and the stuff should last as long as the bait.... Oh well.... :'( LOL
  22. Spooks- Glass surface, slow retrieve:Choppy, move the bait a bit more aggressive. A rattle helps in the chop also. Poppers- Gentle twitches a bloops when its calm, aggressive almost walk the dog type retrieve when there's more wave action. Propbaits- Again, gentle when the surface is calm, but get that thing movin' with a steady twitch, twitch, twitch,.....BLAM. Buzzbaits-Better for days when there's more chop on the water, as the aggressiveness of this presentation can dissuade bass, especially of the clearer or more pressured waters.
  23. Not sure if that would work. The plastic is poured typically around 350 degrees, really could affect the styrofoam. Nice work Zach, especially adding the eyes. That could certainly affect the styrofoam :
  24. Just a suggestion but can you put Styrofoam in the frog? Like mold it into the center during pouring. Just wondering...
  25. Cool. What do you have in mind for the air injection?
