  1. Great looking baits! Love the first one and the crackle back. Very nice
  2. Congrats on the success!
  3. Open water? :-?
  4. I've heard the same thing about the Koppers, but also that their bodies are harder and the hooks duller. I personally have no experience with them, just repeating what I've heard. I personally will not fish with anything other than a Bronzeye when fishing frogs. To me they are worth the money, and are the best performing frogs I've ever used.
  5. I've had a Junior for around 3 years and it will still catch fish . Te thing looks like it went through a vacume cosmetically, but the body and hooks are fine. The only problem is after a while the legs get a little old, but how many of us have 3year old spinnerbaits that we treat like frogs.....
  6. THATS the service other companies need!
  7. Good points both. I just hate to see that blatant of knock-offs.
  8. Ahhhh, I found their originality.... http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops%C2%AE-XPS%C2%AE-Turbo-Toad-Buzzbaits/product/98850/-1446651 http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Z9R-Swimbaits/product/10202507/-1600624 http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Shad-Chopper-Spoon-Lures/product/10204995/-1654057 http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Double-Take/product/10208625/-1600460 :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  9. Got mine. I get more upset with BPS every year. They could be sued on at least 10 knock-offs. Not just mimicking styles, blatant knock-offs... Kermy, Flick'n Shimmy, Shinny X2, Shimmy Jig Heads, Lazer Eye Shad, XPS MacShad, Shadee Shad, Stump Jumper.... Yes, I still read their magazines, and still give them business, but I have to wonder were their originality is.....
  10. Catching more, bigger fish more consistantly : Swimming jigs, Football Jigs, Brush jigs... I am going to try to fish jigs 40% of all time on the water this year.... But it's not really an improvement... Its an increasing addiction (I can't believe its possible!!) Other than that I'm going finesse for Smallies and throwing more square-bills and lipless cranks.....

  13. Honestly, I throw whatever I have to (short of live bait) to get bit. I throw skirted lures about 35% of the time and the rest is whatever matches the conditions...
  14. Gammie EWGs...... I use 4/0 for my standard stickbaits (5") and trust me, the 1/4" makes a difference :-X
  15. One word.... Smallmouth!!!
  16. Boyd Duckett won the '07 Classic with a Berkley Chigger Craw if I'm not mistaken.... Are you referring to the '08 Classic? Alton Jones won it on the Booyah A-Jig and Pigskin Jig...
  17. A few good ones :-? LOL.
  18. Spro Bronzeye Popper, and the King Daddy, Rapala Clackin' Rap, and a Griffin Odessy Spider fly-tying vice.
  19. I found some LC's at that price....... ;)
  20. I'd return them, but bent baits do work... I was using some 4" finnesse worms and wound up with one tht reacted somehow and was in a U-shape. My partner ended up cleaning up on me one day at a little pond and I couldn't match him at all. Ended up he was using that worm on a T-Rig..... Boy did I feel stupid :
  21. King Daddy, as well as other frogs. Gambler Big EZ- I finally bought a pack of these late last season, and all I can say is WOW! For the price I've never seen anything like it.... Great natrual action, great colors, durable, heavey, catches fish..... I'm excited about these! Throwing more full sized spooks. And frogs.... Frogs..... Frogs..... The Spro Bronzeye Jr. was my top producer throw the first half of the season... I guess not alot of people throw these around here.... The Spro's are the best frog's I've used, totally weedless, great hook-up ratio, great action, great colors.... I can't find anything not to like about these.
  22. LOL..... I wouldn't know... I will buy LC's, but THAT MUCH, even for a swimbait? Not happening......
  23. 12"? Wow.... Around here we have 4"..... Giid luck though, I bet a B.A. would bust through on a high cast..... :
  24. Spro Bronzeye Jr.- Leopard Anonymous 3 1/2" Tube -Watermelon Black Flake LC RC Wake Action, 3.5-COPPER GREEN SHAD Others: 5" Watermelon/Pearl Lamanite Yum! Dinger, or Trick Stick I began experimenting with swimbaits of the soft variety late in the year, and both the Luck E Strike Bass Magic's and the Gambler Big EZ impressed me, as did some hand pours from a member on this forum .
  25. The Zellemanders are on BPS's website....http://www.basspro.com/Brand-Yum/Freshwater-Fishing-Soft-Baits-Lures/_/N-1z0xcx1Z1z11dbr/No-25 I havenot received their catalog yet, but didn't last year either... But that was taken care of : Gotta have it... And the Bass Book.... 8-)
