  1. A fishing partner of mine has been using the same braid for 4 years..... Its still as good as ever....(Obviously on spinning gear.... Backlashes reduce the life of braid... Cutting it off the spol is painful.... :-/)
  2. Alrighty, I'll check into that. Thanks for the heads-up. As for the Raps...... I'm still hoping :-[ LOL
  3. "Desperate Fisherman" As for the Royalties thing, talk to my lawyer. I patented it first....
  4. It can effect suspending lures...... But you're rightabout it not affecting the action.
  5. If you are reffering to the way Mr. Elias rigged them while on Falcon, it was a Carolina rig....... Hope this helps.
  6. I agree on the weighting issue, especialy on suspending baits, but I doubt that it would have any noticable effect on the lure's action......
  7. I seem to remember Paul Elias breaking the all-time weight record on Falcon with the aid of these worms in Watermelon Red......
  8. Nobody seems to have seen the Quanity/Price realationship......
  9. I checked Bass Tackle Depot and they don't have the Rapalas I really appreciate all the answers guys!!!
  10. I don't need it, but how many of us need LCs? ;D
  11. Its still not linking..... But I appreciate the effort If you can post the name I can find it....
  12. I've had a similar experiance with the whole yanking the T-Rig and it coming back thing. I still have the glasses I was wearing, with the scratch right over the right eye. I'm lucky to have that eye. I've also hooked a fishing partner while casting...... Not good.... I've tried to grab a lure with Gammy trebles after flipping it into the air over hydrilla.... hooked my self with a lure I was tying on(still don't know how that one happened).... I also cast a rod into the water. Not mine, mind, but my fishing partners. I was chuckin' a buzzbait, went to cast, and I feel the rod really load up. I chucked the thing 15yards or so into 12ft. of water. I just started reeling as fast as I could, and wouldn't you know it but that stupid thing was still hooked..... I was luuuuuuucky!!!!!! Those are the ones I care to tell : EDIT: I've also cut off a Rooster-Tail that I was absolutely killing 'em on that day, and watched it bounce off the side of the boat and sink..... And used a medium action rod with frogs for two years..... I missed atleast one teen fish because of that.............. And several 5-6's............
  13. I am re-stocking as of right now, and am looking for some specific baits. I went to my stand-by, Tackle Warehouse, and came away dis-believing. They don't carry the Xcalibur Squarebills, Rapala Skitter Pops and Props, or several other items I am looking for. I would like to use TW because of their customer service and shipping rates, but I can't find what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a good tackle shop (online, preferably) that has free shipping on orders over $50 that carries a good selection? I know its a long shot but i had to give it a shot..... Thanks- Bass Junkie
  14. http://www.***.com/Berkley_Havoc_Lanes_5_Grass_Pig_Swimbait/descpage-BHGP.html#multiview Let the battle begin.......
  15. Very nice! All are excellently executed. Very very good
  16. Very nice for your first efforts! As for that river, I might venture near, but never with a large streamer, especially a Zonker, much less with repeated presentations........ :-X
  17. Un-pegged T-rig.
  18. Yeah, and buy them by the dozens (literally).....
  19. Soft tips and frogs don't mix...... Trust me >
  20. Your wasting your time.... anyone under the age of twenty-five can only be reached by text, facebook, or myspace. And everything must be written in slang ( ex: how r u? tru dat), otherwise it will not be fully comprehended. And if your trying to tell this generation they are not entitled to anything and everything they desire, you will meet much resistance. Hard work... another dying American tradition. You have a point, but give the kids some credit. I know several young men who work their tails off, every day they have a chance. If they don't have work scheduled, they go find it. They are true, honest, hard workers, and deserve what they get. I'm hoping this isn't just an Ohio thing, and am willing to bet that many young men work just as hard as they do. The reason most don't is that they have things given to them. Just my opinion- Bass Junkie (Bt thy do txt.... LOL)
  21. One thing that I've found really excites kids is to let them "buy" there own lures.... Any style and color they want. They may be throwing a buzzbait during a cold front, but they will have a lot more fun, and they do an impressive job of pulling up 'lunkers'....
  22. Beautiful! Great job
  23. I personally use Moss Green 100% of the time. I like the natrual apperance for flipping, frogging, ect. Its probably a confidence thing, but thats what I do.
  24. Jann's Netcraft http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/fly-tying/ And beleive it or not you can find a lot of nice things at your local Hobby Lobby, Patt Catan's, Jo-Ann Fabrics, ect. Also, if you know any hunters or are one yourself.... And roadkill.......
  25. Very nice looking pattern! That looks very much like the craws we have around here in some of our lakes..... Very good work 8-)
