  1. Smallest Heddon Torpedo, and size 2 Clousers....
  2. Love it! Great color combo, and you executed it perfectly
  3. Very nice! Great paint job. How does it walk?
  4. Very nice!!
  5. Very nice job!! Any specs on her? Lure......? LOL Very nice catch! And you should be nervous, even after she rolled. Shows tthat you're still all in and its not over 'till the scale swings. Glad to see that. And the look is priceless!
  6. Ok, heres the Clearance web adress.... Its the only one I could find, but you have acess to all of the departments from it.... http://beta.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearch?langId=-1&storeId=10151&Rc=100&N=101+97010236&catalogId=10051
  7. Thanks for the heads up! As for not being able to buy off them..... I beleive its at a different web adress, but don't quote me on it.........
  8. If its sitting tail-up this might not apply, but since you've already un-screwed the rear terble a bit I'd suggest removing it entirely and boring out the prop hole a little.... But thats my technology, so don't steal it!! (If you haven't read the Prop Jig postings, don't try to get this.... :) Also, if it is sitting tail up-most, I'd try replacing the treble and adding a splitring.... More weight in the back, and it helps hook-ups also.... Just some thoughts..... EDIT: I just saw the picture.... Try bending the prop blades forward at least 20*, or until even with the verticle axis.... The added friction of the water could help, and it also makes more disturbance.
  9. I have two of the Quantum Shaw Grigsby series baitcasters and love them. I have had no problem with them, and I put reels through their paces. That being said, they are older models, and I know guys who love the older models..... I too was talking to an associate at a sporting goods store (No names) and wound up talking about the newly released (at that time) Smokes. He said he wouldn't go near them. apparently he had two of them and they both had numerous issues, as did more recent Quantum productions. Cosmetics bubbling, rattles, gear problems.... I have not personally used any of the new Quantums for that reason, as Quantums service is, shall we say, lacking and it would be a MAJOR pain to replace one. And I honestly wouldn't want a replacement if the thing failed me once......
  10. I personally feel that the balance of the Mojo isn't nearly as bad as the sensitivity! I would expect more from St. Croix than that, honestly....
  11. Very nice! But I'm afraid there is a quality control issue.... Why don't you send a few to me for rigorus testing? Very good job
  12. I can vouch for his work. He is a very good guy to deal with and the product is top-notch.
  13. Top one is a Storm, I beleive a plastic reincarnation of the Hot 'N Tot.... The eyes and perch patter are unmistakable, as is the body style.
  14. Nine..... No question. A nine pound Northern Strain?? I'd take that over a 10lb Florida anyday!
  15. I personally think the Mojo is a rip-off...... Made me very upset when I bought it > > >
  16. I'd take a look at the Vertias by Abu Garcia......
  17. :D :D That is funny.... Its nice to see that corparate correctness hasn't killed humor all togather...... :-/
  18. I was thinking of using them as trailers by cutting them down (After using them on a weighted hook of course)...... But a whole one might really turn on some big fish..... :-X
  19. LOL I've been there too..... But in all seriousness these baits look to be a pretty good deal. If all else fails the would have to be decent as a Swim Jig trailer.....
  20. That was said with all the sarcasim I could muster.....
  21. Relationship to other prices in the same market.... I personally think the Pigs are WAAY over priced... They really need to get competative. $1.99/7 sounds about right.......
  22. Since this is regarding KVD and not the "fisherman" out there that endorce products strictly for money, I would like to submit this question- Have you ever heard him (KVD) sing the praises of something? He might endorce a product, and will give you his opinion on that product (Which is a positive one, because he has faith in it, or he wouldn't endorce it.) and recommend it, but hes not gushing the angelic qualities of his Johnny Morris Elite Series Reel every half-breath, is he? (Not by any means aimed at a certain show-hoast :) He does what he does, and if he feels comfortable with a certain product, he goes with it. We all have our favorite lures.... Take Square-Bills for instance..... I personally like the LC RC 1.5, and thats what I usually go with. If Lucky Craft offered to sponsor me because I used their product I would be on that offer like white over rice. If I didn't like ZOOM WEC and they offered to sponsor me if I dropped Lucky Craft I wouldn't, and I doubt any of us would, because we would be uncomfortable with 1. Using the product and 2. Promoting their product. So would Mr. VanDam.
  23. LOL Good point.... And no, KVD is not human........
  24. Nice fish! Looks like you had a blast. I hope your river comes back to its former glory.... Sorry to hear 'bout that :-/
