  1. Back half of a Gambler Big EZ, any grub, Berkley Powerbait Beast....
  2. I'll keep you in mind if I do get one made
  3. Wow.... Way to bring back a thread!! LOL
  4. I have one of each size saved in original packaging... Thinking about trying to get a mold made for 'em......
  5. Thats kinda what I was thinking. As for the swim jig trailer, you are right. I've done that since I got my first pack of the Big EZ's.... Awesome action....
  6. Beautiful jigs!! What camera was used?
  7. Gambler EZ Swimmer What do you guys think? Smallmouth territory, or to big?
  8. A-Jay, where'd you get those Beast? I've been looking for those for quite a while!! Killer trailers, those.
  9. Beautiful baits! Those 'Gill colored cranks look awsome!
  10. Nice job:) But your Black and Blue work just fine too........
  11. Thats downright good looking right there! Very nicely done.
  12. I can cast a 1/0 Bass Bug 30 yards with a 6wt........
  13. You can cast a clouser on a 5/6, but not as far as with the 7/8. I use Bucktail, Dumbell Eyes, Streamer Hooks, 6/0 White Thread, and Krystal Flash in my Clousers. Chartreuse/White is the best color I've found. I personally don't have any experience with the tying kit... I can put you on some Step by Step videos for effective flies if you'd like. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
  14. This is gold right here. I honestly have no clue why people say wait for the weight. I fish frogs often, and have a pretty decent hook up ratio (75%+). I never wait for the weight. If I can feel the fish, he can feel me, and that means hes no longer my fish. When the strike comes, reel down quickly, give it a second, maybe, and whack 'em like there's no tomorrow. And Spros are the frogs to throw.... Great hook up ratio on those things. Make sure that your rod has a good stiff tip, as this was my problem for almost a year.......
  15. Blue Gill color skirt (Or a variation of that), Fire Tiger, and Pumpkins/Melons with a little orange and chartreuse.... Gold flash isn't bad either. Over all color tones are more important than specific details...
  16. Spros beat Koppers every time. I have used both of them, and the Spros are more durable, walk better, are better constructed, and higher in quality. You do have to trim the Koppers legs, and it rolls way to much side to side for my preferences.... It also gets wrapped up more. I have used Snag Proofs, Scum Frogs, Koppers, Spros, Etc. and the Spros beat them all.
  17. Two thumbs up. Outstanding pattern, and very nice, clean execution.
  18. Adding a little bit of weight can be helpful, but as stated before, don't over do it. You can add a couple of small split shot in the hollow body, which adds weight, making sit lower in the water and making a bigger wake and pushing more grass/mats. Trimming the legs also can be beneficial. I personally like the legs on my Spros just barely longer than the body..... Great walking action, and you can still chug it.
  19. Beatiful, as always.... Are those DD 22s?
  20. Clouser....Clouser....Clouser.....Clouser..... You get the point. Dead simple to tie, easier than a Bugger, and they flat out catch fish... I've caught Bass , 'Gills, Crappie, and Steelhead on them...
  21. That is a nice looking rod right there! How does the reel seat feel?
  22. Just nailed a 6lb Largie on one this morning. Slow rolling it through a laydown on a point. I can agree with the above statement about the strikes.... Love it or hate it.... I've found them to be a prety decent big fish bait, and I personally like the original Chatterbait... Whit, Chartreuse/White, and Brown Orange (Custom Job on an Original Chatterbait) I have seen a pig caught on the chatter frog too....
  23. Texas rigged, with a bullet weight. The tube is very versitale, and a lot of people seem to underestimate it. You can skip it, twitch it, drag it, hop it, stroke it, and SWIM IT. The 3 1/2 inch versions work well for me, even for Smalies. And one thing that I have found is the tube baits with the skirts that flare from the solid body instead of hanging straight back have much better action, plus they put out more vibes, always a good thing.
  24. Spro Bronzeye, I've had sucess with all three sizes of the traditional.
  25. The inevidable Senko, a Heddon Torpedo, size to match fish size, and a Spro Bronzeye or Rapala Minnow....
