  1. I personally use a 6.X:1 gear ratio on all my jigs for versatility's sake.
  2. That was just wrong
  3. I'd back off, wait a bit, then throw in either a Rapala Floater or a prop bait... Twitching them on the surface is a great way to get the fish fired up and competitive, which equates to more willing bites...
  4. Spro Bronzeye, Gambler Big EZ in Copperfield, and a softplastic of your choice. Throwing in a Heddon Torpedo wouldn't be a bad idea either...
  5. Anyone ever heard of a jig?
  6. Point made...
  7. Finish nails....
  8. The antenna are Peacock Herl, so I doubt they'd be overly durable... I use the stuff for fly tying and it is fairly brittle..... Maybe one fish a bait imho.
  9. Any straight tailed worm is pretty versatile... I personally fish 'em wacky, T-rig, weightless, and with a verticle drop hook. The bigger the hook the farther you can cast when fishing weightless. Shaky heads and dropshots are also good..... An effective technique is weightless rigging or using a verticle drop hook and tossing the worm out by any structure and deadstick it. It catches dinks, but its also a good producer and can pull fish in in a pinch.... Good luck!
  10. Its the 1/8oz. Pop-R... I've sen the lure kit. That could be awfull hard to thro on 30# braid of any sort....
  11. Take it back and get a Spro.... Problem solved.......... Or Loc-Tite
  12. Jim_M is correct... They are still in the pre-order stage....
  13. This is one of those situations when a 16" Swimbait really shines...... Once they have to duck it a couple of times they find their manners  But seriously, this is a growing problem, and one that peeves me too. I'd just ask them politely to move and if they don't I'd pick up the pattern somewhere else.... Never no what some people will do....
  14. That's just wrong  Glad to see you have a good average now!!
  15. Versatility- Jig Favorite- Spro Bronzeye
  16. Beautiful! I absolutely love that 'Gill color
  17. Moss Boss--Moss Boss
  18. They do look like LCs, but I'll bet they're knock-offs. 1. Anyone with custom painted LCs would have the pride/brains to post that information in the ad.... 2.LCs aren't painted on the bill 3. There have been cases of knock-off baits brought up here before. Just my thoughts...
  19. Love it! The detail is just outstanding!
  20. Very cool!
  21. I have the chance to fish a pond tomorrow, and have no clue how to fish it.... Its smaller, and has practically no structure whatsoever. I don't even know if it has fish honestly. Its pretty muddy, and no fish were introduced when it was formed around 8 years ago.... I've fished plenty of ponds, but never one like this. Its basically a muddy swimming pool.... I was thinking of starting with either a Chartreuse/White Chatterbait or throwing a flashy 7 or 8" swimbait, to attract a few follows.... Any advice/input?
  22. Personally, I started with a 8' BPS Power Graphite 5/6 rod, an learned on that. So Hobbs Creek is a great starting place....
  23. Beautiful patterns guys!
  24. Planos are worm proof. Don't worry about it. I've put every type of soft plastic you can think of in those things and never had a problem.
  25. Beautiful, as always... What airbrush are you using?
