  1. I stock as much inventory as I possibly can and don't let anything sit around. To clarify, turn around times do not include shipping. And any extenuating circumstance or deviation will be discussed upfront. Communication is the key to service and meeting expectations.

  5. Consider a 7' M/Fast spinning rod for weightless plastics & a 7' MH/Mod for cranks & other treble hook lures.
  6. I think this depends to a degree, what senko type bait you throw. The actual Yamamoto seems dense and heavy enough for light end bait-casting. I use spinning gear myself for weightless plastics unless the cover calls for heavier gear.
  7. Being at the top of the light spectrum, red actually is less visible under water. Here is an interesting article: http://fishing.about.com/od/basicfishinginstruction/a/red_fishingline.htm
  8. Be sure to use a grease specifically made for drag washers. I like Shimano's drag grease. There are several good brands of light oil available for the bearings, TG's Rocket Fuel, ReelX..... As stated, never mix lubes. Unless the warranty states otherwise, you don't have to use the oil sold by the reel co.
  9. Shimano reel models from lower end to high end: Citica, Castaic, Curado E, Chronarch, Core, Calais The Curado would probably be considered to be top of mid-level. The D series preceded the E. a list of back models can be seen here: http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/customer_service0/Reel_Schematics.html Have you checked the Flea Market here on the forum?
  10. RD 10347 Drag Click. http://fish.shimano.com/media/fishing/SAC/techdocs/en/Spinning/08ST2500FI_v1_m56577569830640161.pdf Let me know if I can help you out withthis. Mike
  11. I don't see either being much use for the lighter applications like panfish and trout. Many fish have been caught on a cane pole or hand line. It really boils down to what your own expectation is of the equipment.
  12. I haven't fished one, but the customer reviews at bps are less than stellar. See here: http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/ I got a Pflueger President for $55. Hope this helps. Good luck! Mike
  13. Use a progression 150 grit - 220 grit - 400 grit. I usually sand along the length rotating the handle constantly to keep the grip even. Mike
  14. Try these for starters: http://www.tackleunderground.com/ http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/
  15. tracker01, What length, power and action rod are you looking for? Do you like a matte color or plain graphite? Mike
  16. Looking forward to following you on your mission for record bass!
  17. I live in NE PA and fish there and NJ. Be sure to check out the NE region forum for PA and NJ threads!
  18. ...Aboard!
  19. By moving the guides to the bottom of the rod a spiral wrap avoids the tendency of a rod to torque or twist under load. It also keeps the line off the blank avoiding line slap which will increase casting distance and accuracy. What Raul said about the spine being important is true, however a quality rod should be built with the spine in mind regardless of guide placement technique.
  20. Aboard!
  21. Aboard! I'm in the Delaware Water Gap in NE PA. Some good fishing in NE PA and North Jersey.
  22. Welcome aboard!
  23. Here http//www.delawarevalleytackle.com/ if you want to ship or Here http://www.lakeladyrods.com/ is a local builder I saw get positive reviews on another site Mike
  24. x2 These 3 rigs will let you properly present most any bass bait.
