  1. Gear ratio changes can be made in certain circumstances. PM, call the number in our ad or go to http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/home Thanks, Mike
  2. Check here for a very good explanation of rod characteristics: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/rod-actions-power.html
  3. I would suggest soaking bearings in lighter fluid/camp stove fuel repeatedly until the fluid remains clear. Set them on a paper towel to draw out as much as possible. Spin them on the end of a sharpened pencil and let sit for a while. Lube lightly and give another spin.
  4. Elite, A good cleaning and lube should go a long way.PM, call or go to www.delawarevalleytackle.com. BassResource.com members get 10% off. Thanks, Mike
  5. TimJ, Feel free to PM with any specific questions. What make reels do you have? Mike
  6. In general, oil bearings and grease gears. Always be sure to completely remove old lube to prevent possible compatibility issues. One drop of light oil on the spool bearing races is sufficient. Use only a specifically designed drag grease on drag washers. Feel free to PM if you need a hand. Mike
  7. I suggest a clean and lube including inspection and diagnosis. Let me know if we can help you out. PM or include your BassResource.com user name for 10% discount. Thanks, Mike

  9. Sorry Hoist, I jumped the gun by responding before looking deeper. :-[ David is absolutely right. Mike
  10. I don't see a part #3235 on that schematic. Part #3529 is the side plate assembly which has a shaft built in. Is that what broke?
  11. This is what I was saying but a little more detailed. If you want to, give me a call when you attempt again: 973-459-2835 Mike
  12. It's hard to say without seeing the reel or a schematic. If there is a dial or Knob it should be for a magnetic brake. Make sure that the the dial is on the lowest setting and the brake is in the same position. Does the dial have a clicker?
  13. Good quality components can be assemble and hand fit for a spinning rod suitable for bass fishing for about $85. Top of the line SC V graphite blank, titanium alconite guides and premium reel seat can be done for $190. Butt wraps, decals etc can all be added at additional cost. You choose wrap color, grip style and length, power and action of rod. IMHO once get above $200 on a production rod, your paying for brand and marketing and have limited choices. Mike
  14. The Revo s-sx-stx all have 6 disk - 3ea fiber & metal
  15. Have you checked the site here under articles, tips & tactics? The most common are there with decent diagrams.
  16. TW has a SOL for $209. Here:http://www.***.com/catpage-RLSDAIWA.html
  17. I was there July 4th week but the weather was hot and humid, more what you'd expect in Aug. Some cooler, drier air moved in late in the week and the bite improved.
  18. I use a fluoro leader when concerned about line shyness. When I tie direct I rub a permanent marker up 3' of the braid to match water color/clarity. I can't honestly tell you that I get more bites by doing that, it's kind of a confidence thing.
  19. K-Mac, Thank you for the compliment. There are a lot great people on this site offering great services. All I hope for is to be considered among them!
  20. This is a great place to learn no matter what your experience level is. What do you have for tackle starting out? Mike
