  1. It is terrible, the way the dude talks drives me up the wall as well. Dual Survival is the one to watch.
  2. i have great success fishing those areas (Cavitrons only), but i like it with some cloud cover and a little bit of wind to break up the surface.
  3. 9 pound 3 oz on Strike King 6xd
  4. agreed. i'm getting 17-20 on 10 pound fluoro and all the ones i've used have ran true straight out of the package, which is usually the opposite of what i experience with Strike King crankbaits.
  5. norman fat boy
  6. It definitely does appear to play some factor, not sure how much and some days it probably plays no factor. Since I always put new trebles on my cranks anyway, I like to run 1 set of red up front on my crankbaits (since when I've seen a fish bleeding, it's always been from the gills) and just run the standard colors on the tail.
  7. to add to my last post, if targeting smallies in a river, tubes are far and away #1 for me
  8. More than I need, less than I want.
  9. Jerkbaits Grubs C-Rigs
  10. Tried both, but my confidence in t-rigs is on a spinning rod so that's all I use for them anymore. Now for flipping/pitching a pegged t-rigged, baitcaster is the only way to go.
  11. chigger craws (green pumpkin w/ green fleck or black and blue) but honestly i've never tried the ultravibe. The chiggers have worked so well, I've never needed anything else.
  12. Drop offs, points, any type of deep beds or rocks on the bottom. I use it all times of the day except very early or very late in the day. I carry chartreuse/green backs, shad color (gizzard or threadfin for clear waters), and red and black craws for early in the year. 3/4 ounce luhr jensen hot lips express and Strike King 6xds (always hated SK lipped crankbaits, but they hit the nail on the head with these), and i replace the stock trebles with Owner Stingers, for some reason they seem to get snagged less I typically just keep a steady crank (use 5.x gear ratio baitcasters, 7.5"+ foot rods, 10#-12# fluoro), but there's sometimes where I use a retrieve where I sweep the rod and then let the bait sit while I take the rod tip back to the starting point and reel in the slack.
  13. 3/8 ounce black Cavitron buzzbait. Use them around shallow cover and structure (i've had the best success with them around wood) Like everyone else said, early morning and at dusk are great times, but I've also had success during the day when there's a little bit of wind breaking up the surface.
  14. great running and great action, but i always swap the hooks on them for owner stingers. Norman's are definitely by favorite brand of cranks
  15. spot on, i have had the best luck when the water is choppy around shallow structure
  16. how big is the body? for something thicker like a berkley power worm, I'll go 6/0, but if it has a thin body like a Yum Ribbontail, I go 4/0
  17. were you using the same retrieve? for stained water I use firetiger (around grass) or black and red for clear-stained I go with shad or ghost type colors
  18. black blue green pumpkin motor oil
  19. The 100 holds more line than the 103 (20 more yards of 14# test) at the cost of 0.1 ounces. The difference in gear ratio is in the lettering. HLA is 6.3:1 and the SHA is 7:1 If you use heavier test line (like 20#+), I'd go with the 100, otherwise the 103.
  20. no matter how bad things look for fedor, he just never seems to be in danger of losing. I think Rogers was knocked out and then woke up when he hit the ground. Also, I think that was Fedor's first time in a cage. Entertaining fight, but Rogers is a sore loser.
  21. typically I throw a t-rigged tube or creature bait where flipping and pitching a jig usually just ends in hang ups or dragging in tons of weeds. I like small (3.5") tubes with light jig heads as a finesse presentation in more open water or for targetting smallies. I like bigger tubes with heavier jig heads (3/4 ounce) for ripping off the bottom and trying to get a reaction strike from bass on or suspended near the bottom. But then again, you can use the same technique with a heavy jig or spoon.
  22. Pressure on Burnett, pressure off Martinez, advantage Phils (as long as Pedro can go at least 6)
  23. thanks that help a lot actually and why all the hate to split grips?? personal preference...I will only buy split grips.
