  1. Hey I have one that I am assembling just like yours. I am waiting for a couple of pieces to be shipped that were missing, but I was just wondering how did you grease the bearings? Do I need to get anything special? Thanks!
  2. that xxx spider line mono is the worst fishing line I ever tried. Lost two lures pop - r on the hook set and a spinnerbait on a cast. Will never use it again.... gave it to wife to use with beads...LOL
  3. Congrats! Keep on fishining it and you will gain more confidence. Jigs catch big fish!
  4. One place I fish I can only do so from the bank. I use a c-rig there 1/2 ounce weight - 18inch leader and have done very well. Last outing 3 1/2 and a 4 and lost an even bigger fish. It is a great way to cover a lot of ground from the bank and allows you to find cover easily without electronics. Good Luck!
  5. Look around and find a cheap jon boat and fix it up yourself. When I was your age I found one for $75. A fresh coat of paint and fixed the rivets and I used it for 12 years.
  6. Most of the time I can figure the fish out enough to atleast be somewhat successful. If they won't bite I think of different presentations or try new techniques that I want to work on, but most of all I enjoy being out away from the pressures of everyday life. I appreciate it even more now that I have two small children at home and don't get to fish as much as I used to.
  7. Pretty much the same here.... Very little variety as far as color goes use red shad almost exclusively except at night I go with black. Probably a confidence thing since I catch tons of bass with those colors. As for the retrieve I vary very little. Cast it out let it drop (many times bass will hit a worm on the initial drop) then I hop it off the bottom. If fishing is slow I twitch the bait almost keeping it in the same spot and fish it very slow. Good luck and keep working at it and you will find worm fishing to be very rewarding.
  8. Trying to find a club to join as a non-boater in the southern indiana/louisville kentucky area. Not against driving a little, if anybody knows of any let me know. I have contacted two local clubs via email through their websites, but have heard nothing.
  9. I would be interested as a non-boater. Louisville Ky area.
  10. I live in Jeffersonville, Indiana just across the river from louisville. I am looking for a bass fishing club to join.
