So I'm taking the plunge and am planning on buying my first boat this year. Planning on getting probably a 16' or 17' boat. I don't plan on fishing tournaments but obviously getting from point A to point B faster is always a plus. Is 35hp too low for a boat that size? Also the lakes and rivers I'd be fishing would be pretty small. Any advice would be great! Thanks.
why add one when you can just buy this one that comes with a rattle? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10202948____SearchResults
i have both the bronze eye and this one, pretty similar other then the rattle.
Funny thing was me and my friend saw a dead gar on the shore of this lake though not anywhere close to were we were fishing. Though never caught any in this lake but maybe I just haven't fished it enough.
I was fishing a local lake that is just full of lily pads along the shore with good size pockets (2-3 feet between bunches). Used ragetoads and spro frogs along with one of my favs a moss boss through the pads. Had a ton of strikes but none of them seem to kill the bait to allow me to set the hook. There was even one spot where I had 8 misses and saw the bass jump out of the water to try to hit my bait. I guess my question is are they just biting it because its in the territory or in this case should have I switched to a smaller bait to allow them to engulf it? I know topwater you can expect a lot of misses but this just seemed crazy.
Original black and blue chattterbait with net bait paca chunks as a trailer in black blue flake is killer for me. Always wanted to try out the pure poison ones but they don't sell any at our gander... :'(
Anyone ever try this out? Picked one up because it looked interesting. Sorta is like a buzz bait with a popper IMO. Tired it out for a bit just to see how it is in the water and I actually kinda like it but I didn't get any bites. Let me know what you guys think if you have tried it.

Oh yeah there is a blade like a buzz bait in the front of it but its not in the picture for some reason.
Any good techniques to making them walk on the water? I heard that trimming a bit (3/4 inch) off the legs helps. Or do most people just leave the legs the same length? I've used regular walk the dog lures but I'm sure its more complicated then that. Any help would be great!
well i've see some lures that i didn't think would catch anything catch fish. so i just wanted to see what people thought but i guess these lures are not worth it to people on here. pretty much answered my question.
Anyone try these lures out? If so what set of colors did you get and how did they work for you? Lastly overall impression on lure and if they are worth the money.
Would have posted link but it wouldn't let me saying I haven't posted 10 post yet
