I know some one with there jon boats he has a 40hp jet on the back he uses it for rivers. sorry but I dont know any thing about the bass boats. but thats a big motor for a aluminum boat I bet that thing will fly. it will also be a rough ride in chopy water.

I dont think so b/c he didnt hook it some one else did he just reeled it in. and was the fish alive.

Im the only one that likes fishing for spots lol. but that all we got in lake lanier I also like to chase stripers every once and a while.

I have the tracker tournament v-18 http://www.trackerboats.com/boat/index.cfm?boat=1770 and I love it I got a 90hp on the back and it goes about 46-48mph. and its got a huge front deck it as wide as could be. I love it the only thing I dont like is that its aluminum I dont think I will get another aluminum boat b/c I fish a very, very, very busy lake and its a not very smooth when a wave from a 30ft cruiser hits ya lol.

I finly got my boat out for the water today and I opened it and the power cord to my old unit is connected to some other wires that go to the battery so I can just connect the new power cord to the connector right. man who ever thought of that is a guines that saved me alot of work. But im still waiting for my new depth finder to get here I cant wait. thanks for all yalls help.

I already have a trancducer on the trolling motor so I will just thake the old transducer off of the the TM bracket and put the new transducer on it. save me $7.

I just ordered a new depth finder today and I need to install it I was going to take it some were to get it installed but every ones turn around is a round a week and I need it this weekend. But how would you go about installing it I've never done it before and im kind of intimated by it b/c I don't want to screw any thing up. It's going on the front of my bass boat. Im guessing I just run the power cable to my fuse box then just hook the transducer up to the trolling motor. But it seems like there should be more too it. So if yall can please give me some detailed instruction. Thanks,

this setup would work best if your going to have one other person fishing with but get a 12-14 ft flat bottem jon boat wider the better with the biggest motor you can fit on it, then I would convert it to a jet out board so you can get up in the REAL shallow water. then build you a front deck and put at lest a 36 lbs thrust foot controled trolling motor I would go with a 50 or 60 lbs of thrust. then get you a nice little depth finder. and I thinks thats about it.

I just checked on ebay the cheapest one I found was $184. I got to thinking about selling my old units I was thinking hpw much should I sell them for I have a x51 and a humminbird xp2000. I checked to see how much there running on ebay and the x51 was going at about $90 and the humminbird I couldnt find anyone selling one then I check on google and I could not any thing about it I dont know how many watts it has or pixels or the retail price. have you heard of this unit it came on a 2003 Tracker tournament v-18 if that helps. but I was thinking mabe $50 or so???

the only reseason Im holding off on the 332c is b/c I dont know how much longer the x15 is going to be on sale. and to me the x-15 is a better unit it has 3,000 watts vs. the 332c that has 2400 watts. I might try to sell the units on my boat now to but the 332c. and do you know how much a GPS moudle(spelling???) for a x-15 would cost ive been seeing like $275 dose that sound right?

thanks for all your help bassdocktor, I found a GOOD deal on cabelas last night and I think im going to get it its a lowrance X-15 its on sale for $399 (reg.$699-$1100) its got tons of wats lots of pixles and a huge screen. its a little out dated but I think its a lot of unit for the price. and Ill get the lms-332c later on for the dash. agin thanks

bassdocktor thanks for all your help. I think Im will get the 332c the only thing is I will be ordering it through my work so I wont be able to mess around with it so if anyone has one I would like to know what you think about it thanks.

can I get the 332c without the gps then later on install gps for it. b/c the 332c with out gps is $50 cheaper then the 102c. and how much would gps be to install in the 332c later on.

This is just me but I wouldn't spend any money on that boat just b/c it might need a lot of work, maybe not now but it could in the a couple years. like the motor probly has a unknown amount of hours on it the wood could be rotten the carpet might need replaced. and I don't see much storage. Could use some paint. If I were you I would finish your jon boat project and then sale it for what ever its worth and save a little money then put a down payment on a newer bass boat. But if you like boat projects then yea I would get it. that's my $.02 I bought a 1975 jon boat last year and I payed $1,000 for it. then a couple mouths later I need a new motor so I bought a 1985 evinrude and it has problems, then I got a hole in the floor had to fix that then I replaced the trolling motor I had around $2500 just in repairs. just know a older boat like that is just like throwing money in the water.

I just got my tax return back the other day and it was more then I thought it would be and now I want to buy a new depth finder but I cant deside on the 102c or the lms480. I like the color of the 102c then I like the wattage and the gps of the lms-480 so what one would you chose and why? and dose any have these units pros/cons.

I would get the X15 its a little older then other units but it is nice you can see every thing

if theres lighting dont go, other then that load up the boat and GO!!!! lol just have a rain jacket
