  1. And here I was looking in the store for weedless attachment for hooks!! Haha, I was going to to try the weedless after you mention them in my wacky O-ring topic. Well now I know why I couldn't find just the weed guards. Don't I feel............................
  2. Man Plecos are crazy looking. So you didn't hook it? Just would like to what was your first reaction when seeing this fish?
  3. Those Owner Wacky hooks seems to be a top item too. I went to Gander Mountain yesterday and they was gone! those and the finesse wide gap weedless. They did have those in 1/0 so I bought a pack of wide gap. I was also looking at the VMC's live bait hook that looks similar to the Owner's Wacky hook, has anybody tried those?
  4. +4 on PQ. Also the Extreme is really good too. My wife has that one and loves it and it's her first baitcaster.
  5. Yes they are!
  6. You got to love em!! Though I'm trying into other stick worms like X-factor (watermelon red/ghost and shell cracker) and the Gander Mountain (green pumpkin core and black/ blue lamnt)
  7. Congrats!! I never fished Lake Anna before. Grew up swimming there but that's it.
  8. I had the 8 lb in green and really like it. I had a problem with the clinch knot slipping so I starting using the Palomar knot and I think Trilene knot. No problem since. It cast great and to me does have good strength.
  9. x2 I've got four of them. Great reels, especially for the price paid. X3 I love mine!
  10. Yea I know, I'm very proud of mine. Do you have the same one I got? I'm thinking about getting my wife the BPS Viper combo just not sure if is a micro lite but the reel has ten bearings. The combo going for $39.94 for fourth of July.
  11. Nice!! I do miss catfishing. I really don't get into them no more since by boat went down few years ago.
  12. WOW!! Wayne your always slaying them. How is Hunting Run going? Been out there lately? I'm hoping to make it out sometime next weekend hopefully. As for me not good. I seem to not be able to get out and when do luck is on the down side. My biggest this year happens to be a 2.8 Bowfin on my micro lite. I was just bobber fishing then. I have been really trying out cranks and jigs rather than the usual wacky rig. So far only a few small bass on my cranks and small pickerel when trolling. Sorry no bass pics.
  13. Yes it was!! haha. I don't mind them. I always like a good fight. I just to remember to carry my grippers with me cause every time I don't I manage to catch the mean fish. Zero, Yea I love my micro lite. 6lb eel, I bet that was nice. So far I yet hooked an eel.
  14. I went today to this local pond with my buddy not to far from my house and I was using my BPS 5' Micro Lite Elite with 6 lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid line and caught one tiny rock bass and this 2.8 pound Bowfin. I was wondering how my micro lite would handle a decent fish since I just bought the combo and know nothing about it. I'm glad to say I'm proud of my micro lite. It handle the Bowfin like a champ with no problem at all.
  15. So far I don't recall any but I have broken my Pro Qualifier rod by stepping trying to avoid my Bowfin from biting me when it jumped off my scale. Man I was furious, just bought the rod, go out the next day and to just to break it on my first on only first fish that morning.
  16. I might have to check into the 05 ghost.I also like the River2Sea frogs. http://www.river2seausa.com/t/bullywa.html 8-) I might have to check into the 05 ghost.
  17. How you like the Madd Maxx Rotten Pumpkin?? I'm still without a hit on that one. I think next time I'm going to put my Spro Leopard and Madd Maxx Rotten Pumpkin to a test on this pond that I know they will hit the Spro at. I haven't try the Madd Maxx there yet to know.
  18. Spro #16 Leopard.
  19. Even though he has his mind made up. I do love my Supreme and President XT.
  20. It's always worth the shot. I was doing wacky just through the worm, now I'm giving both methods a shot. O-rings and heat shrinking tubes. I know one thing for sure got to beat just hooking the worm lol.
  21. Just go ahead and do the 3/8 shrink tube, trust me they will talk you into it. They did me and now I got worms already to go!! This is my topic on the O-rings. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1276125383 This is my pics of the worms I just did with the heat shrink tube. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1276125383/16#22
  22. I don't know anything about them but if have a Gander Mountain near by than I would go and buy their brand. They got their stick worms for 10 bucks pack of 30. I hear their good. I have their Green Pumpkin Cores that I will try tomorrow.
  23. Here is what I done so far. The left to right is Gander Mountain Green Pumpkin Core, Senko Green Pumpkin, Senko Watermelon Red, and Senko Green Pumpkin / Watermelon. Now far as hook goes do you just hook through it like you would do for wacky rig or underneath like the O-rings? I also melted the worm just a little bit that doesn't matter does it as long it hasn't made a weak point?
  24. Anyone near Caroline county and looking for a new baitcaster reel, the Shimano Citica 200E. I'm not sure of ratio but they are selling theirs brand new with box for $89.99. I was some what shock of price since they go for $119 everywhere else. Their number is 804-633-2660. Just letting everyone know who's interested!
