Thank you and what is nice about it, that is my first catch using a Chatterbait. Let's say I'll be going back there soon. You can walk around this whole pond. I'm trying to talk my wife in going next time.

Me and my brother went to this local pond near his house for some night fishing. I started off tossing my bomb but no luck so I switched over to what I thought would work. I tossed out the Bandit 200 bluegill, Bandit footloose tennessee shad, Buzz bait, Xcalibur crome/blue and nothing seem to work. I did toss out the Smokin Rooster(watermelon red) a few times as well which I had a couple of hits on. I actually one strong one that just just shot off like a rocket but couldn't manage to set the hook. My brother he tried his black Jitterbug with no luck and a few of his lures out. Earlier he had one get off my same rattletrap at the shoreline (the same rattle trap I was tossing). So I finally switched over to my small Chatterbait with a Live Magic Shad for a trailer. I had to powerful hookups but manage not to land them. One was dragging out my reel with ease (I'll be back for that one).I finally landed my first fish which was a 1.5 lb crappie, which is by far the biggest crappie I ever landed. My brother then switched to my larger Chatterbait and claims to have one monster hookup, screaming for my help I come running over to see nothing on his line?? He says from what he seen of it had to be easy 4lbs. Later on I landed another fish, a 2.3 lb bass. My biggest bass this year so far, THANK GOD!! I ended the night with 3 while whipping my brother out to his 0, unless you count the get away. I'm shocked that I didn't land a Bat too. He kept swooping for my lure every time I cast out. Man wouldn't that be a picture to see.

I went yesterday to Hunting Run with my nieces husband Ladaniel who just moved up here from Louisiana and never bass fish before. We had fun for a hot day, even he turned red. The fish wasn't nothing big but I caught maybe 15 or so and he caught 5. He was tossing wacky with the Senko's green pumpkin/watermelon laminate and Gander Mountain's green pumpkin core. I was tossing several different types from wacky, drop shots, to cranks. The wacky I was tossing were *** Black/ blue Swirl and Senko's green pumpkin/watermelon laminate and black/blue laminate. I've caught probably 5 or so just trolling with my Xcalibur One Knocker chrome/blue. My pickerel I caught while trolling as well. My biggest Pickerel to date (though I was fishing for them). It was 18''. Man that thing had some nasty teeth, I never seen that size of teeth on my smaller pickerels. I also tossed out the *** big bomb short fussed round bill. Which that was my first bass on crank besides rattle traps. I'll be tossing that more often. I also tossed out a drop shot using *** 4'' drop shot worm, watermelon red and albino shad. I had several hits but either I would miss it while I was working my other setups or they just wasn't taking the worm. I had one lil guy get off right at the boat. this was much my day. Hopefully I'll go out this weekend again.

I like my Gammy's too but when budget tight 25 pack of BPS is good for me just wish had a bigger selection on size and types other than worm hooks from BPS at my store. I use VMC's but I'm at BPS more than Gander Mountain. Now I'm trying out the Stand Out hooks for drop shots which had several hits on yesterday but nothing tried to take or miss the hits while I was working my other setups.

Now if I had to deal with Gators or other dangerous animals of that sort than maybe no music for me. I bet that would be sight to see, them fighting!

I do the headphones but mine are the ear phones and I only use one to keep my other ear open to outside noise. I also always try to keep a keen eye out on my surroundings. My tri-haul when I had that running I use to listen to music through a stereo while croaker or catfishing.

A bucket of Minnows and a dozen of Worms!!!! Haha! Nah but really I just love my Xcalibur Xrk50 one knocker in blue chrome/orange. Nothing big yet but seems to be the working crank for me. Anything wacky but I love my green pumpkin/watermelon laminate. The Bandit seems to be a hot lure for most so I need to start tossing mine out.

Do you mind me asking how come? Also do you have any recommendations on anything? My brother wants to join In-fisherman I think.

I would thought so but only landed two. Man though you should see the place. It's a lake but deepest part is 7'. Talk about trees. Here's a few more pics of the place. (sorry for taking over with pics non fish related)

I've caught two huge turtles last year. One look to be 3 feet on a minnow. The other wacky rigged. That one I was trying to get it in boat than got to thinking what will I do to get it out? So I cut the line. This year no turtles. But with my luck I'm willing to to take anything of size haha. My biggest fish this year is 2.8 Bowfin. I heard people catching eels but luckily for me none. I prefer for them to stay away and I'm not sure where I fish has them. I wouldn't mind seeing a Catfish hit my top water lure. How much commotion do they make top water?

Man that carp is fat. As for me my other seems to be Pickerel and Rock Bass. I've caught a good amount a Pickerel this year. More than ever. But my go to friend beside a Bass has to be the Bowfin. I just love those mean fish. Today I went to a new place and had a Pickerel hit my Madd Maxx Swamp Monster frog and talk about a bite in the A** I somehow had him hooked in the back. Later on had a a lil hit and was like my line is acting funny, to find is was a Bowfin coming towards me and from the looks of it had to be 3 to 4 pounds(look as big as my 4lber last year). All i got to see was it's head and length cause it bit my line in half when I tried to get it in the boat. I have a net and don't use it. I had the Bowfin on the Senko Black/blue laminate wacky. I never caught a carp but many times Catfish with my spinners. Here's the pic of my trip today. Sadly only caught 4 today and had allot get away or missed. Several nice hits too. Oh well better luck next time.

Not according to the guy who fixes my reels. Just because something comes out of the same factory does not mean it's the same reel or same quality. I just had an Abu repaired and was getting insight from him on purchasing another reel. He said to stay away from the "Big box" reels for the mere fact that parts are difficult to get. I'm not saying rubba bubba is wrong but that tells me that the reel "guts" must be different from name brand reels. Anyway I got a Revo Toro 50HS which will be seeing water for the first time tomorrow. Can't wait What do you mean by "big box"? I'm just curious cause I never heard that phrase before and don't know what it mean.

What kind of bait you using? I can't see where they would be any different to any Cat and try what bait fish runs in the lake if is shad, perch, or not. I only caught one in my life and it was actually on the stink bait Chicken Blood. But other Cats I always caught with bait fish like Shad or Herring. Also how you rigging up your line? I use the fish finder with 4 to 8 ounce weight (depending on current and wind),glass bead, and strong enough bearing swivel with a 18" to 24" leader attached to hook.
