  1. From what I seen there's no #15 in XPS at least at the store. I use the #14 in XPS it's .013 diameter. #12 is .012.
  2. XPS might be the best in your range, that or maybe try Seaguar red label http://www.basspro.com/Seaguar-Red-Label&153;-Fluorocarbon-Fishing-Line/product/104164/-1557328 It has decent reviews. I know nothing about it just it listed at $12.99 for 10# Maybe ask around?? The rest most likely be in the $20 or over range depending on what pd test besides the likes of Vanish, Triple fish, Viscous. I do use XPS onmy casting gear which I like. So far that all I used. I did tried a few other on my spinning gear like Suffix, XPS CarbonGold, Trilene, Seaguar Carbon Pro(no longer I think) all in 10# and I like Suffix out of them on my spinning gear. I don't recall Suffix causing me any problems but finding out now 10# is too much for spinning gear which would be my fault on the rest I tried. Trilene I have a hard time with the knots Which I think someone mention before about the knots.
  3. That a nice video. A site to remember! Is this the first time for you or the first just a that close of range? Thanks for posting. How do you have the Camera mounted also?
  4. Maybe help knot tips and how do!! I got the knot wars app just never tried it yet but the app is post to so you how to tie certain knots so that is always helpful if can that. Maybe a fishing forecast if those are accurate?? Moon details?
  5. Do you use Skype or any thing similar?? I would love to hear both names pronounced.
  6. Congrats on the new boy!! That's how I feel about my son, I mean we got big people in the family like my wife's brother who 6'2 and was over 300 lbs( now he down to 240). My papa was prob 6' and maybe 200 in younger days. But for me and my wife, I'm 5'6 170lbs( 120 in school) and my son is about to be 4 and already have my size. That's him in the avatar. I never heard the name Chaston so I like that. You do a theme for the nursery? I can't remember how long you gone for? Do you do video chat while over seas with the fam?
  7. Maybe check out the BPS store and ask around about the is rod. http://www.basspro.com/G-Loomis-GL%3Csup%3E2%3C/sup%3E-Series-Trigger-Rods/product/36951/-901577 It's on clearance for $159(maybe cheaper in store) originally $200 I don't know anything about G-loomis but I've read good things just maybe ask some guys here about if this is a good choice for flipping/pitching? If want something now quick and cheap. I always wanted this combo but I went with the PQ combo instead. This is the RCX rod http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-RCX-Power-Fishing-Trigger-Rods/product/10205042/-1662785 or All star Big Boy rod http://www.basspro.com/All-Star-Team-All-Star-Big-Boy-Rods/product/51843/-1014338 Both are $69.88 Here what BPS have on clearance from their online site. http://www.basspro.com/Freshwater-Fishing-Fishing-Rods/Current-Offers-Clearance/_/N-1z11dcgZ1z0weqo#Current%20Offers Does Hookingem still work at the tackle shop?? Maybe he can tell you what deals or sales are going at his work?
  8. Any ideals on what rod yet and Good luck with the new reel. Enjoy!
  9. Glad to hear. Mono still or did you switch back to flouro?
  10. Anybody got any pics to post? Kaotic1 how that jigging going for you now as long as your Carbonlite? Sorry I couldn't make it. I had Fam in town from Louisiana. They left 7:30 this morning. Glad everyone had a great time.
  11. Or find something like this jon boat. This is my brother's that he is working on. It's a Lowe's 16' and I believe it's 5' wide. This just might be your best bet on a jon boat if can find one like this. That's the link to his pics and topic.
  12. It not removed it should be a tag on boat listing capacity. Maybe the seller can tell you if still on or give model number and maybe there will be somewhere online where you can find out. On my Tracker 14 the tag is in front of the back seat and it's a 3 person or 375 weight capacity, 15 hp. On my 15' Thundercraft it's rated for 900 pounds and a 90 hp motor.
  13. To me if just looking for a regular jon boat 4 people is allot but I would try to get something no smaller than 14 and possibly 55lb trust trolling motor. Not sure if with 4 people if I wouldn't go smaller unless running two a one time but with that more power but more weight. Also make sure you pay attention to the weight and don't try to over exceed it. One more thing if trying to craiglist a boat keep an eye out on some fiberglass or aluminum V-haul or a tri haul like my 15' Thundercraft. Allot of times you can find them cheap with out motors or even with them.
  14. Don't forget also Jealous ones still ***, lol. (talking about me, jealousy here)Proud for you for real. If reading right your friend hooked you up with the deal at that too. Great friend!
  15. If so pick up some please let me know how it goes. Pm or something then! Good luck don't forget trying wacky as well.
  16. I don't mind them give me a monster that's a fighter I'll take that but glad none on the year. 1 4# Bowfin but I love them things anyways so I don't argue.
  17. Also if can find this color This became my go to color Senko Plum Apple. I buy mine from Dicks around my way. Funny how I had a pack of these fro like two years and finally thought to toss it out this year. I was fishing a always murky pond filled with grass and lilies. I decided to wacky in front of the lilies and landed me a 4.9 and a 3.4 that day. Seemed to be only thing that work and color choice also. I did land a small bass on black/blue laminate but for my other colors nothing. I tried purple/emerald flakes(june bug supposedly ), watermelon red, and a few others with no luck. Also I tried frogs, chatterbaits, C-rigs with no luck near the outside of the lilies. I also landed a 4.8 on plum apple at huntingrun as well. It's definitely my color far as producing but I don't shy away from trying others either. Just as of now been the choice they preferring when I'm out. Also could be your rigging style as well try wacky next time! If not sure about that style guys like Sam and Wayne P are just a PM away. Great guys with helpful info.
  18. There ya go. You said you was going to do it. Really nice fish. Congrats!! Punkinseedfyretailz- Stop the whining. He still mad that bigger brother hook a 4 out on our trip to Hunting Run. You should of heard him trying to jinx me "it's a pickerel" over and over again.
  19. Exactly what I do Either lip( no gators here), grab line, or use my gripper for fishes with teeth like bowfin. I have a net but rarely use it. I just never think about it.
  20. From what I heard about shrinking the skirt it was for walking purposes but your logic could be good as well. Which to the original thread starter if want to know about this as well there is videos on youtube, Glenn can explain as well, plus many others. They claim Kopper's frog you don't need to trim it walks fine out the pack. I need to get the Midnight walker.
  21. You might be thinking of the Extreme rod but the bionic blade seem to have a decent review so I would think it would be good for now till your ready to update later. My advice just keep the receipt. You should have a 1 year in store warranty for just incase but if you did use your reward card they should be able to pull up your sale by using that. That's how I return my brother's Carbonlite and got my receipt for my Pro Qualifier when lost it.
  22. If all else and if you don't mind let him try up front. My brother never indicated he wanted to and I want to teach my wife how to work up front. My brother working of his jon boat so I might just find myself in the back, lol.
  23. It depends in what position your put in. I try my best to position the side ways like so we both have an opportunity. There are times where fishing from the back out fishes from the front. My brother beats me out on numbers sometimes and not to long ago st13john a member here was beat out by his buddy. Now if your both fishing maybe same technique or even different but the man up front(if have the controlling power with the motor) puts only himself in the best position possible than maybe. On my boat I control the front but there is a trolling motor in the back where my brother or even wife uses to help themselves if needed to get in position. I try my best to make it fair and equally fun fishing in my boat no matter who's in front or back.
  24. But that's the Gander mountain brand correct? It's an excellent deal if you like that brand of stick worm.
  25. I like it can't say how effective it is but it did land me a 3.5lber. This was a 3 years back. Lately I haven't used much topwater. I use the coach dog with the orange belly. It landed the 3.5 for me. I love their loud bloop it gives from wide mouth the hula poppers have. Rebel poppers are good too if never use of them. I had luck with the black/silver. Here are the reviews for the hula popper on BPS if it helps any. http://www.basspro.com/Arbogast%C2%AE-Hula-Popper%C2%AE/product/15534/-252151#reviews
