Yeah I spoke with Lowrance did they’re claim to fit and it’s junked.... hard reset, update and nothing... I replaced it and got my a HB helix 7 Mega DI.

I called lowrance today about my Hook 2 7TS and she was going over my depth finder and stuff... told me to power it up and read her what it’s doing... I told her it’s not in the water and she said that’s fine doesn’t need to be and will give me reading either way???? but reading up on depth finder and running out of water from what I’m reading is a big no no and can burn the transducer up..... can anyone help enlighten me??

That I have not... dielectric grease?? I have not Aren’t you post to feel like a pulse or hear clicking?? I have neither.

I had this depth finder for a year now and it just won’t properly read for me... lowrance said it’s my transducer position but I tried everything... like today no depth or bottom is given... Trying to get a better photo

I prefer Bass Pro XPS flouro... I’m told it’s Seagar Invinx... not sure but always had great louck with it.

I almost went last Sunday... went to Curtis and Ruffins.... manage 1 tiny bass on wacky.... this Sunday think I’m going to Hope Springs Marina.

I understand the budget and sometimes it can damper things... but if can hold off and add more funds say in a month I would try too... I know I’m very impatient and a must have now attitude. I almost bought a Lews laxer speed spool. I needed something with a low gear ratio. I ended up not getting it. I do need to get a reel as well so I can put my Curado back on my Crucial. Bought a new rod at the outdoor show and was giving it a try. I’m holding off cause I want to have deep crank set up first and I don’t want to just settle for anything but who knows I might just get a good decent reel for the rod I purchased at the show. I have an original PQ that crapped on me this year... I’m going to try and swap some parts from a Carbon Lite reel. my wife has a Black Max BC. Decent cheap reel. update: I just read about your marriage and hope everything is well...

I love fishing with crankbaits... The Bandit 200 been a great lure! Couple of weeks ago I landed a 4.5 on a Strikeking 6XD out in 25’ of water. I don't do anything crazy when cranking. Just cast and reel.. every now and then I might pause or give a light tap..

Sunday was real good out on Lake Mooney in Va. I caught this nice 4.5 on deep water cranking. My nephew a 1.3 on wacky.

Yea it’s definitely hard to see.. the deeper part of the lake is clearers in the deep end but must travel to back of lake to get there.

I got some 6th sense coming... hopefully be here tonight or tomorrow. This one seems to run fine. WRB- it did pretty well... the Dredger’s was noticeable though.. the 6XD and DD22 was fine..

The 6XD paid off!!

I took my nephew for the first time out on the boat.. we went to Lake Mooney by the house... prior I’ve been catching just small ones at Mooney... today we had a good day! He caught I want to believe his PB on wacky at 1.3 lbs.. we caught plenty and kept our limit. He was leading the biggest bass caught for most the day till.... well I’ll explain later lol... For those who know Lake Mooney and like most new reservoirs it’s highly recommended to keep some. Lake Mooney is 5 per person and under 12”.. and normally yes I would toss back but speaking with a group page on FB for this lake I agreed to do so. Their actually not bad tasting. Now if wasn’t recommended then I wouldn’t. We caught most on wacky worm and I think this will now be his go to technique lol. But I did manage two on deep diving cranks. For some who seen my post asking about deep diving cranks and the ones I purchased. I’m happy I did... I caught a small guy on the Norman DD22 out at 17’... but before leaving I had a spot pick for these Deep Diving crank that I wanted to hit. Last time out there I notice how the depth went from very deep to 13’-20’ so I been wanting to try this spot for deep divers... and being new to it hence my other post. but before leaving I texted the wife and said I’m going to try this one spot before I call it quits.. so glad I did!!! At first and even before here I wasn’t having luck with my Strike King 6XD in Oyster nowhere. Here at this particular spot I was fishing the 13’ range and picking up grass with the 6XD... so I back out to 15-17 foot range and started tossing out in the open.. well i I had a hit... didn’t feel like much... of course hard to tell when their swimming in your direction once hooked. But as the bass got close to the boat, the bass dove down and started pulling my drag out... now I new I had something!!! Needless to say and proud moment I landed a 4.5# bass!!! I seen pics of 4# bass but I wasn’t having any luck till now!! Not only did I land more fish than my nephew, I now caught the bigger fish lol!! Only if I had more memory on cards for the Tactacam to film it lol.. ( I did get footage of the other smaller bass and my nephew pb) Great day and we had a ball!!! He even took a nap on the boat lol. here are some pics of both are biggest today and of other bass we caught!! But landing the 4 gives me hope their bigger ones out there and just maybe I can break my PB soon of 6.4 at Caroline Pines..
