Went to a spot the other day and there was an entire destroyed frame from what looked like a mobile home or something similar dumped next to the pond. So disgusting.
Looking at one of these on craigslist and it doesn't have a trailer with it. Would putting the 10e ontop of a jeep cherokee be possible with two people? I haven't seen one of these up close before so I'm not sure just how wide and heavy they are.
Depends on the bait. With smaller thinner plastics (7" or under worms, small craws, small creature baits, lizards, etc..) I like a 3/0 offset. With the bigger thicker baits I'll bump it up to a 4/0 or an occasional 5/0 ewg.
I like to use an offset whenever I can though. Definitely seems like I get a better hookup percentage with those.
One of my favorite presentations. With the rage craws I can fish it slow on the bottom or fish it fast right underneath or on the surface. Fish hammer it.
I drop the rod and set straight up like im trying to break something as soon as I feel a tap.
If I even think it's a bite I swing for it. Hooksets are free (heard that one on here many years ago).
Here in florida anything that has had standing water for more than a year or two seems to have bass in it. I've caught bass out of ditches, tiny creeks, and disgustingly dirty retention ponds.
One of my best spots was a 2 acre lowland that had about 2 feet of water in the deepest spots, most is around 6-8 inches. Before it dried up in a drought 3 years ago I could wade it and catch 50+ fish there a day, some over 5lbs. It also had some monster bowfin in it.
Zoom.
Trick worms, speed craws, speed worms, flukes, and baby brush hogs probably catch 3/4 of all of my fish.
I really like the Havoc and Big bite brands also. Pit Boss, Juice Worms, and Cane Thumpers especially.
Was looking around in Academy not expecting to spend much money (yeah right lol) and while looking through the rods I saw a bunch of All Star Team rods marked down from 79.99 to 49.99. Mixed it with them I saw one All Star Micro spinning (6'10 ML XF) with a 49.99 tag on it even though the other sticker on it said $129.99. Grabbed it and took it up to the register and it scanned full price but they gave it to me for the sticker price. Then of course I had to come home and order a reel. Ended up getting a Shimano Symetre 2500fl. First Shimano reel I've ever bought.
I haven't had a spinning setup in my arsenal for years now. Time to start throwing some shakey heads lol.
